Anyone else watching Warehouse 13 on SYFY channel. I am really digging this. Its quarky, odd ballish, and different. Seems to have sort of a Stargate feel to it, but has nothing to do with space. I also really like the actors.

SYFY channel is coming out with some pretty decent shows lately. (not the movies though, they are still horrible)

I like this show better then Sanctuary which I find cheesy. This show has some cheese moments but not as bad as Sanctuary. This show is fun to watch.

My standards are really high though when I look at the Stargate franchise and BSG. Almost everything seems cheese compared to those.

It's not a very good show. I tolerated it at first but as they've gradually dumbed down the 2 leads it's become almost unbearable. They've turned the main guy into a frat boy who can't think beyond his jockstrap.

Is anybody still following this show? Because of my wife, I've yet to miss an episode but it gets tougher to watch each week IMO. I think this might be the most unbelievable show I've ever watched. Oh, I can accept the science and magic of the artifacts, that's not the problem. There's just no way I can dumb down enough to accept that Pete just 2 years earlier was a highly regarded Secret Service agent. He's childish, he overreacts, he panics and he frequently wastes time in time-sensitive situations and inevitably jumps to a hasty conclusion in each episode. The pilot episode was intriguing but it's been downhill since then - they need to bring back Jane Espenson and turn the show over to her.

It's funny you should say that. I'm starting to wonder if I wouldn't like it more if I HADN'T started at the beginning. For me, it raised expectations that subsequent episodes have fallen well short of. Even the Eureka crossover episode wasn't enough to save it for me, and I'm a big Eureka fan.

Still one of my top 5 favorite shows on right now. I haven't noticed any big changes except for one. The only change I have seen is the partners may act a little more goofy but that is because that have grown to know each other, they aren't feeling each other out anymore, they are now friends and friends act goofy. Everything was new and uncomfortable, of course the dynamics were going to change a little bit. I could also believe he was in secret services, there is always one black sheep where ever you go right, plus he was almost going to get fired, right. I love the little bits of history nuggets they throw out that most people wouldn't get.

If you go back to the pilot though, they were both highly regarded agents. The only real difference between the two was that one was strictly by the book and one was unconventional. There is no resemblance today to the Pete of the pilot episode. Maybe I'm just being picky but I highly doubt even the weakest Secret Service agent routinely panics, overreacts and wastes precious moments when time is of the essence. It doesn't bug my wife either but it just drives me nuts to see it happen time and again. I guess one of the reasons it really bugs me is it's just not necessary. The show worked quite well without his buffoonery, IMO.

I've started watching S2, it's better than the first couple of episodes I watched on DVD.

It seemed like they were setting Pete's character up to have some sort of latent psychic ability -- in the pilot he sensed that the room was off, and was even able to zero in on what it was. There's never any mention of that anymore.

They have hinted every now and then. In a few episodes he has had "gut" feelings or can sense when something is out of place. My guess it's more of a perception thing with him then psychic ability. I still think they reference it every once in a while although it is subtle.

It doesn't come up like it did early in the series. It was a significant part of his approach to problem solving and I really can't remember a recent episode where it's still being used. Unless it showed up in this weeks episode anyway. I watched 5 minutes of that episode and decided that my wife was on her own from now on. It struck me as pretty much the most juvenile 5 minutes of TV that I can remember watching since the Banana Splits.

I thought last season ended with Myka leaving the group? Did I miss something or was this episode supposed to be out of order or a flashback. Speaking of Myka, I thought I'd also heard that she was leaving the cast. Any answers out there?

The general consensus seems to be that it's a pre-season 2 finale episode as you stated. However, the other theory is that it is just a stand alone story in the WH13 universe.

...but, this most recent episode was set in Denver. Fun to see the city (they really did shoot at Union Station and outside the mint), but the Denver mint does print paper money. It makes coins.
