Ok, I just read where the pitcher they brought up and pitched yesterday, Scribner, had a 5.6 era and 11 walks in like 25 innings.
Are there other stats that I'm missing out on? We don't have anyone better down there, statistically?

What is the reasoning for bringing him up? I'm trying to understand?

ESPN is very fair so far in setting up the game. I'm hoping, of course, that the D-backs can pull out a win to start some momentum.

In retroscope, I think it can be said that we got off to such a good start because we played so many games vs. the Dodgers and their predominantly LH starting pitching staff, which plays right into our skills.

And Washington has jumped out to a 1-run lead with two out in the 1st.

Souza is wearing a mike, BTW. And our old friend Mark Reynolds just got a hit against us.

Are the pitchers this good on Washington or the dbacks this bad at the plate? I'm thinking the latter. This is sad!

Dbacks can't hit the broad side of a barn.

Our Arizona One-run-backs. Even when the roof opens (so far). 'Not good enough to say, "Hey, we weren't shut out!"

Avila with 35 strikeouts in 66 official at-bats this season. 35 out of 77 total plate appearances. If we didn't have three Catchers, he'd whiff over 250 times.

Hey, 2 runs in for the D-backs. It's a one-run game, runner on 1B with one out.

Daniel "Clutch"! Especially in innings 7-8-9, he is amazing.

Goldy needs to get out of his slump right now.

It feels good to feel good, doesn't it, Shaggy? :)

And here comes Goldy with the go-ahead run on 3B.

It really makes sense to take the pressure of Goldy and move him to 6th or 7th in the batting order.

The longer his decline continues, the more difficult it will be for him to come back, even if they address Goldy's issue(s).

When the D-backs officially drop out of first place, I would hope that Torey Lovullo will make some major changes in the batting order.

Sherfy, back with the D-backs from the Minors, now pitching. We really need a good middle inning reliever.
