Just win baby! ????

Worked for the Giants dude. They got "lucky" in several regular season games last year and in the playoffs and even in the SB. They even got "lucky" in their first SB. That's 2 lucky SB's.

Coaches and teams create their own luck. Wins matter. The rest is just fun to pick at.

Really? This is your 15? Seriously?

You cannot be serious .... No way ...

At least you have to know how to count. And no way in hell would you rather have more than 4 of those you listed leading our team..

Am I right?

Thick headed are you?

I never said Whisenhunt sucked. What I am talking about, which apparently goes right over your head like a Kolb pass to a TE, is that we need to quit accepting mediocrity from our football team simply because they're not as bad as teams from the past. We need to be expecting more from the Cardinals instead of getting all excited because we won a game. We should be expecting to win those games instead of being relieved we won. And we should stay on the coaches and players and front office until the Cardinals are no longer 14 point dogs at NE or 4.5 dogs at home.

Guys like you who say we shouldn't point out the deficiencies of the team, and stop "whining" simply because we won and we're better than the 2003 Cardinals are part of the reason Arizona has almost never been competitive. For years in the AZ there was no penalty for failure. Nobody cared whether they won or lost and the few fans they had would pat them on the back and say nice game guys just like parents do at a 9 year olds soccer game.

Amen...Very well said.

You would only take 4 of them????? lol and I am wrong? Reid, Bellichick, and Both Harbaughs easily....not including, Smith, Shanahan, and Turner are proven winners.

I second that. I actually thought Duck had already put him on ignore. Surprised he responded.

I stand by 4. Maybe 5. Their are great coaches out there no doubt, but for our org, only a handful could deal and supply as Whiz has. IMO.

Again, I'm under 30% on anything, on a daily basis.

Than that solves it...30% of 15 is roughly 5...IF you were 100% correct...like me...you would get 12-15 coaches. :D

See ... You guys get me wrong .... I dig DuckJake ... A lot actually, and he is one of the few here that I would offer a beer to- Offline -

I have nothing against him at all! I like him, and I appreciate his views. Greatly even.

It's a debate fellas ... .Nothing more.

This is practice. We go at it a bit but in the end support each other as we have the same goal.

I mean the difference between Whiz and every other coach we have had...is he puts us in the VERY same situation..we have been in for 30 years....its this time...the coin lands heads instead of tails.

OMG..1 game...we also beat the Rams twice on last second miracle returns, beat the cowboys because their coach called a goofy timeout, the Patriots kicker missed a kick he makes with his left foot....and the seahawks couldnt get 8 yards in 6 plays.....not including, the other 2 punt returns and OT wins..... Lucky is great...dont get me wrong...but luck isnt coached.....If Whiz gets anything...he gets that he hasnt lost games unbelievable like every other coach we had...he just seems to reverse the luck.

1 game at a time friend.

I'll take ugly over a lose any day.

We weere in positions to win many, many times.....Denny Green had us in position to beat the bears on Monday night...Tobin put us in the playoffs for the first time in 20 years.....McGinnis had us 4-2 a few times....and we lost crazy games.....Hanifan had us on the cusp of a NFC East title.......Bugel had us right there too....

Funny-- Falcons were in a very similar situation

1:55 left, first down and the Broncs down to one timeout, protecting a 6 pt lead.

Mike smith choose to hand it off. Turner got a first down on the play, effectively ending the game --

Bumpity bump bump for Mitch Campos and Dobbler??

The play was a DEBACLE---you, Campos, and I know it. We don't need experts---EVERYTHING ABOUT THE PLAY WAS ABOUT AS STUPID AS A COACH CAN GET IN THAT SITUATION, SAVE THROWING THE BALL.

Go to any football clinic---and I have gone to hundreds and have given clinics myself---and what EVERY coach will tell you is that when you are in a position to protect the lead and the ball with the clock and the timeout situation on your side---YOU PLAY THE ODDS. YOU OWE IT TO YOUR PLAYERS.

And had we taken a knee, would you have bashed the coach for being too conservative and only burning two seconds of clock as opposed to seven?

What you're insinuating is called, "playing scared." Since you allegedly run football clinics, you already know this is a loser's mentality.

Lighten up, Mitch. It was a good play gone wrong. Ryan Williams didn't have a tight grip on the ball and the Pats were able to rip it out of his grasp. We know you hate Whiz, but if you're going to over-analyze the play, focus on how Williams was carrying a play, not on the prudent play call.

Wow we win a couple games and all kinds of folks come out of the woodwork, or out of their shell, or what ever rock they crawled out from under.:D We sure know how to deal with losing (most of us do at least), but this winning undefeated whooping on the Pats in NE (and a morning game at that) killer defense happy ending excitement is probably gonna screw me out of the cheap tickets I was hoping for....curses!!! :p Looks like with the victories, we will have a troll bridge to deal with, even folks passing as birds fans...weak sauce. Acting like they own the joint....that's my shtick!!! Newbies need to recognize, this is a great place to share opinions and root root root foor the home team, if they don't win it's a shame. Cause it's one, two, don't diss my duckjake, and we all think your lame!!!

You didn't just name Norv Turner as a better coach than Whisenhunt did you? May as well have thrown Wade Phillips and Dave Wannestadt on the list too then.

My list would be Belichick, Coughlin, Sean Payton(even though I can't stand him), and Ravens Harbaugh as the only coaches I'd consider to be above Whiz

Smith has never won a meaningful game. Carrol isn't even in the conversation. Shanahan is, to me, about as overrated a coach as there is. Fisher, Fox and Reid are good coaches but I don't think I'd take them over Whiz. It's close though. Tomlin and McCarthy stepped into some pretty sweet situations and that's one thing that I think gets overlooked when it comes to Whiz. He stepped into the most dysfunctional, losing situation in the league and turned it into a Super Bowl appearance.

Funny just the other day I offered to trade Whiz and Beanie for Fisher and an injured rb to be named later...but now I think of it they can have those guys and keep Fisher to and we will run the rest of the season with Horton and the real reason we are where we are. The Defense. Whiz is suspect on Offense, always has been, Warner Warner Warner, and a thousand passes put us in the promised land...Now the Defense could bring back the glory of the 86 Bears D and win us some 8-6 slugfests...and get us a ring.

Maybe. But that roster was loaded with veterans. By 2009 we had the most players with the most time with one team in the entire NFL. And obviously Denny Green hadn't ruined them.
