I like Rodgers, the player, but I don’t know how you guys can speak highly of him at all after how he has played in his last couple of playoff games, especially the last one. It’s not even about Kyler vs Rodgers & Wilson, but it’s about how would they(really just Rodgers) do in a much more toxic environment & tougher division. Rodgers won a SB. That’s awesome, but that when Obama was still in his first term and Rodgers has only folded since then. He’s only getting older.

Rodgers have been carrying crappy wide receivers for years. It's been Adams + some JAGS.
I’m not sure what would be different if he got traded here? If Kirk is out the door, you could just replace Adams with an older and inferior WR in Hopkins. I would say Rondale has more potential than the other non-Adams WRs has, but only that as of now, potential. Otherwise, Green Bay has us beat at every other position. He also won’t be going up against the Lions, Bears, and Vikings twice a game.

Rodgers is clearly a better QB than Murray, but he also would be clearly coming to a worse situation as well.

Odd to see him "worth" so much more than his equivalent predecessor, Kirk Cousins.
That's the market. QB prices will hit 50M for the top 10 QB very soon because the salary cap is going to explode when new TV deals hit.

Yeah screw those guys. Wilson only made the playoffs like 9 years on the run until this year with a whole bunch of pretty bad rosters recently and Rodgers has only been MVP two years in a row and gone to the the NFC Championship game 3 of the last 4 years. What do those guys know.
Kyler's abortion of a performance has made me forget just how bad Russell Wilson was against the Rams in the playoffs in 2020.

11-27 and a 12.7 QBR with Metcalf and Lockett on he field.

Im trying to help you out here about Wilson. His kryptonite is the same as Kyler's and I'd argue Kyler has shown more upside against the Rams than Wilson lately

Pick a different vet.

Hopkins is only 6 months older the Adams...

One game out of many does not define a player. He has a 9-7 playoff record.

Of his 10 season's in the league 7 of them have had a passer rating over 100. Including his first 2. He has only twice had a QBR below 60 and 3 times over 70.

Wilson is in a different league to Kyler in his leadership on the field, his reading of defenses and his pocket work.

And he's still awful vs the Rams who are going nowhere.

If Watson didn't have the legal issues (which makes him untouchable for the Cards FO, IMHO) I'd do that trade in a heartbeat. He put up something like the 4th best year a QB has ever had in the league right before the massage stuff came out and he was benched all of last season.

Heck, I'd love to see this team with either Wilson or Rodgers leading it also.

Our track record with older QB's (Warner/Palmer) is much better than with young guns.
Cards front office draws a firm line at DUIs

Every single elite QB in history has had massive meltdowns in the playoffs. Wilson is a proven elite QB with postseason success.

Wilson before the hand injury was still elite. He obviously came back too soon.

He still doesnt solve the Rams issue. And he complains about WR/Oline just as much. He was p'od they didnt sign Antonio Brown or Odell.

Again vet QB is the way to go if you're committing to Kliff. Another young QB makes no sense. However, in our division Russ actually looks worse vs the Rams. If we were in the AFC then sure.

You'd actually need a GM that can build a great Oline for Russ to beat the Rams when it matters. Keim isnt that.

Losing to the Rams is nothing to do with Russ. It's a match up / scheme thing.
