You're talking about 2 of the best quarterbacks in the game with proven track records of winning, both with SB rings and multiple playoff wins like they are chumps and Kyler is in the same league. He isn't.
The only thing Kyler has on them is years.
Remember when Peyton Manning was a free agent and he was looking for teams to join? He even came here for a cursory look. He then decided on Denver. If there was some weird chance that Rodgers/Wilson/Watson were available, the same thing would happen. We just aren't that attractive as a franchise or as a football team that is super close to winning it all.on Rodgers there's a bunch of talk about him or Brady and the 49ers and some of the stuff has suggested people think Rodgers hurt his shoulder late this year. If people recall he had that toe injury and had to change the way he was throwing to prevent putting too much pressure on the toe when he pushed off. Some insiders apparently think that hurt his shoulder and it's why he looked so mediocre against SF.
I'm unconvinced, SF had a great defense, and before that game he'd thrown 20TD's and 0 picks in his last 7 games so if he hurt his shoulder did it just happen in the playoff game?
Great player but at his age with the last 2 years of off field distractions I'd be surprised he plays that much longer.
Wilson I love and he's "only" 33 and still in good shape, the concern is he got hit so much in Seattle, 427 sacks in his Seattle career that he might not play as long as some guys are.
I want to keep Kyler and improve him but if we had to trade him Wilson would make lots of sense to me. I am afraid of Watson off the field as I've said many times, if that fear goes away due to legal changes, the market for him will be huge but we should at least ask the question. But my preference is keep Kyler and help him improve, bring in another QB coach , fix the WR room since we only have D Hop and Rondale locked down right now, fix the TE and RB situation for same reason.
I think it's easier to coach an existing QB than find another good one. Wilson and Watson are sort of special cases as they both appear to want to move on and are very good players still, but again Watson has a huge cloud over his head right now.

Never going to happen. This will drag out at least until the draft. So this has to be resolved this week. Sign him or trade him this week.
Don't let this get deeper in the weeds than it is. No one is going to sign here with a QB publicly holding out / demanding a trade until it's resolved.
I really hope he does get traded after extending Kliffy and Kiem.. this just makes no sense.Gambo says a trade demand will follow if the deal isn't done in two weeks.
The agent pushed this knowing that Kingsbury was about to get rewarded so he wants the same for Kyler.
Multiple teams will be in on a trade and will happily pay him what he wants
Here in the Denver area, they are thrilled that this is going on with Kyler. It just means another high quality QB may fall into their laps if the Cards want to trade him for example.Denver is the team that is IMO going to make a run at any of the QB's who become available. Miami less clear now that they changed coaches.
Denver has wr's, RB's, a good defense and a draft pick and allegedly willing to move Jeudy to get a QB. The problem is it's not clear Seattle will trade Wilson, not clear if Rodgers wants to play anymore, and nobody knows on Watson.
There's no reason to make a knee-jerk reaction. K1's agent is trying to get a $40mil/year QB a $50+mil contract. His leverage is flimsy at best. Reacting on impulse is how Keim has failed as GMSo this has to be resolved this week. Sign him or trade him this week.

Cool… give us a kings ransom I’ll take it with even with Keim at the helmGambo says a trade demand will follow if the deal isn't done in two weeks.

The asinine extensions are the real root cause here.
If true, you look for a trade with a giant haul that you just can't ignore. At least 3 #1s, a #2, maybe a couple #3s. KM is supposedly so well coveted in the league, you should be able to get a haul like this. If you can't, then tell him to pound sand, sit, and freaking whine. When it becomes apparent he's going to lose money hand over fist and never, ever get his way, he'll be back. And if he wants paid, he'll play well.Gambo says a trade demand will follow if the deal isn't done in two weeks.

The very LAST thing you do is cave and give him everything he wants. That would be worst-case scenario.
That would be really stupid at this point in time. If you want KM to mature, this will do the opposite.Cards aren't going to trade Kyler. They will sign him to a big contract extension most likely before the draft.
