Wow really? Ignorance is bliss.?
And arrogance is for a........
So onto your list.
1 losing season in last 5 years CHECK
- Demantled the team in less then 3 years. Was back to not paying talent and double digit losing seasons two years later.
A Super Bowl appearance and NFC champ banner CHECK
No doubt. See above.
2 NFC west titles CHECK
No doubt. See above.
More talent on the roster than any in at least the last 3 decades CHECK
Matter of opinion over proof. Our offense line is no better than last year, our LB core is a concern, depth at RB is unproven, and we have no viable, head and shoulders starting QB in a passing league
Team actually drafting from a BPA approach rather then panic CHECK
No doubt. Not sold on M.Floyd. You can better your drafting technique but you still gotta pick the right player
Snagging a well thought of front office exec from Pats CHECK
No doubt. But, he used to work here before.
A first class scouting dept. CHECK
No doubt.
A HC who's well respected aNd highly thought of throughout NFL CHECK
Matter of opinion. Haven't seen that in print anywhere at anytime. Haven't heard it said anywhere at anytime. That being said, I really like Whiz as a coach as well, and hope he stays here. I love his accountability, even though he is NEVER given credit for taking it.
Having coaches and FO staff being sought after by other teams CHECK
This is the biggest point in your favor. What the Cardinals did for Keim, and their selection of Horton as a coach are two gigantic moves for this organization.
Probably the best strength/conditioning coach in NFL CHECK
Matter of opinion. He is thought to be overrate by many.
-Players actually happy and excited to be drafted by the Cards
WHO? Cause they smile when they got drafted? I think that is them being happy they are millioniares now.
-Proactivley promoting Keim to V.P. of Player Personnel before losing him
Great move, you are 100% correct. But, lets get the facts straight, they did this AFTER they almost lost him. They re-acted, they weren't pro-active about the situation
-Every single game in the new stadium sold out
Technically you are right. Yet, there was no hiding the tarped off sections of the stadium last year.
Gentlemen,
I see this organization saying all the right things, and they are putting in place things to be competitive. Yet, there are very familiar re-occurring problems that this organization does every year, and has done so for decades. This team is .500 under Whiz. 39-39. I understand the excitement and respect it. You wanna call me names, and give me your arrogant and pretentious attitudes that is fine. It does nothing for your arguement. At least Shane gave some arguements. All good, all debatable, and all valid points. I am just not swayed by 2 winning seasons in 20 years. I am not swayed by an alarming lack of talent on the offensive line, and no constancy or direction at QB, along with no faith our current staff can find, coach, and/or groom a QB or offensive lineman to save their lives. And that is just current situations.
Long term, the organization still lets young talent leave without any fight. Then try to replace the talent cheaply at first, and then in the long run any money the organization tries to save by not re-signing talent, they lose by not being able to cheaply replace the talent they lost, then sign high-priced free agents to solve the problem, and then bust on the free agent signings. Thus you get these very average teams with high pay rolls, and average talent.
Changes that make me think is not your father's Cardinals ?
Promoting Steve Keim
Change in drafting technique.
That is it. Far from huge changes, in my humble opinion.
What is sad, that even though I am shown very little by some here, I do respect the opinion that this organization has changed. I just don't see it, or believe it yet.
