Whiz wrongly claims Williams "Never fumbled"

The funny thing is Keiper said Williams fumbled late in the game vs. NC a mere one minute after the pick was made.

Exactly. People can freak out, that's fine, Whiz screwed up. Lets ignore the fact that this is real life and was probably an insanely busy weekend for Whis and there's no way his brain was just fried and someone handed him a stat sheet that said 0 fumbles.

He should have been more prepared yes, but I'm not going to have a big hissy fit because our coach made a verbal gaffe. Its not enough to convince me that; "OMG our coach knows nothing about the guy we just drafted!" They had talked to him, he was on their draft board, they obviously liked him, it's just stupid to say that "Obviously Whis did nothing but check ESPN.com" IMO

I guess the sky is falling for me today but this does seem like a big deal to me. Maybe a canary in the coalmine or something.
The draft has been this staff's life for the past few months (especially with the lockout). This isn't a UDFA, it's someone we were supposedly guaranteeing we'd take in the 2nd so I'd assume we put alot of focus on him and the head coach is claiming he never fumbled??
Sorry, to me that's not a gaff, that's disturbing.

The first thing that came to mind is that this pick was not for the cardinals. There could be a previously negotiated deal that includes that pick. Wiz would have no reason to know the stats of a player they have no intention of keeping.

It's the only rational reason for a blunder of this magnitude. If that's not the case then WOW....what a scary thought.

Adding a defensive coordinator that says we will play 100 % zone. And than drafting a corner that can't play zone, that has not shown to be good when the play is in front of him, and that is awesome in press man coverage?

Add to that that both our other top CB prospect two years ago has the same issue.

Cardinals are going to have two man coverage studs and they are going to play alot of zone.
