SOURCE: Herm Edwards is targeting #TexasTech DC David Gibbs as #ASU's new defensive coordinator. Gibbs was his DB coach with the Chiefs.. Tech turned a corner this year w/ Gibbs up to No. 6 in Big12 on D.
Hmm...he has a ton of DB experience in the NFL, and TT has improved under his coaching...which isn't saying too much. Could be a good hire.

They were going to lose some from the class. Inevitable. Tad surprised they only had 15 commitments.

We shall see.

Napier is top HC candidate at Louisiana Lafayette, so looks like he'll be leaving as well.

There are a couple other guys on their list, PSU OC and AUB OC Chip Lindsey. But if Napier does leave then Anderson’s plan is all for not. Maybe hire Sumlin as OC / Assoc HC. I mean Napier was pretty much going to run the team so maybe Sumlin would be okay with the role. Less pressure because Edwards would take all the blame because on paper he is the HC.

Wait, so we hired a washed up ESPN analyst with a poor track record in the NFL, so that we could keep our coordinators? Lies, this is a shady good ol' boy deal. I've been an Alum for over 30 years, this is the first time i'm going to withhold money from the Sun Angel foundation. They are acting like the Bidwills are in charge.

Ray Anderson looks like the world’s biggest fool at this point. This will not end well for him, Herm, and ASU football.

The Herm Edwards Era at ASU is off to shaky start. Those two coordinators that AD Ray Anderson planned on keeping are now gone just a week into Herm's tenure.

This didn't seem the plan going with the hiring of Edwards. Now it appears they are bailing water on a sinking ship.

I hope the ship can be righted but I'm not counting on it. The Sun Devils should have hired a real head coach in Sumlin.

It was obvious going in. Now all Sun Devil fans can do is hang on.

And the brand new house of hastily stacked cards comes immediately crumbling down. Shocking.

Yeah, great hire by ASU... NOT. It is starting to look like a real clown show there. Ray Anderson got really lucky with the Hurley hire (and by all accounts, not really to his credit, as he wanted Capel). That might be the only thing that is keeping him his job for the moment. The football program is about to go splat.

I hope a new basketball arena is in the works or at least a major renovation.
