Adrian Wilson needs to ****! Nothing Somers said in that article is bad nor states that Adub Cant run, cover or tackle anyone. In fact it was complimentary about his improvement.

Strong safety Adrian Wilson: He did not play well to start the season, as he admitted on a recent appearance on the Jim Rome radio show.

It was fair to wonder if Wilson had lost some steps, or just didn't fit into coordinator Ray Horton's defensive schemes. He turned 33 in October, and his salary is due to increase from $3.5 million to $6.5 million next year.

But Wilson improved and adapted to a new system that uses him in different ways than he was accustomed.

I don't see Wilson going anywhere, either. Yes, his salary increases by $3 million but overall his compensation remains the same because of a $3 million roster bonus he earned earlier this year.

Wilson is in amazing shape, and there's no reason to think he couldn't finish this contract, which expires after 2013.

It's important to ask who would replace Wilson. The Cardinals don't have a young player ready to take over. A departure by Wilson would create another hole to be filled, and the Cardinals have enough of those.

Was a fair assessment by Somers, I think Wilson took it out of context and exagerrated what was written. Everyone knows, including Adrian, that he struggled to begin the season. Once Horton started using him closer to the LOS you could really see the difference in his game, and he improved dramatically. Still, the Cards should think about drafting a SS to replace Wilson within the next couple of years.

What ever keep A-Dubs's fire burning is fine. Never under estimate the need for a player to keep that chip on their shoulder, and the silly-arsed things they'll use to motivate themselves.

I assume Somers, as a professional reporter (a dying breed), has received far worse words from players who feel jilted by his words.

And never forget how inelegant people can be conveying tone and message when forced to a character limit (although in this case it seems clear).

Somers article was pretty objective. I feel for Adub though. I don't know how many times the dude has been written off. He's probably been reading the forums, because everyone (including myself) has ripped this dude up and down for pretty much everything a football player can do. And he's done nothing but stick with it and continue kicking ass. That's basically the truth.

Let's not forget that when we were bad, really bad, continuously and consistently and horribly bad, that he stuck with our team, when he was the best player on it. He could have left, so easily, like so many others have (I won't bother naming them, we only have so much time). He's always stuck with the Cards, through thick and thin, and let's be honest, it's mostly been thin. The man deserves respect. I'd love to see him win a title as a Card, because he's going to retire as one.

And he made another pro-bowl. Those aren't fans voting him in. The coaches and players who see him are voting him in. Again.

Actually, I have thought that Sommers has been too kind to the Cardinals because he sees the coaches and front office people on a regular basis and does not want to hurt the relationship. I have yet to see him write anything really critical about Whiz.

I think it is a matter of a guy who has worked his butt off and was a old dog trying to learn a new system, put that in with the bicep injury...dude just wants some respect. I don't think this article alone got him mad, what he was dealing with all season brought him to going off on it. I have no problem with Wilson's actions or with what Somers wrote. It seems clear to me Wilson is one of the most competitive players on our team. It also seems obvious he is better near the LOS as many announcers note he is almost a linebacker. His experience allows him to do things many of our young up and coming guys cannot. He still has a lot to bring to the table. It may not be as a strong safety but where ever he is playing he was a positive on our team this year and looks to me like he has probably 2 more years of play. I know of no one on our team at present who would be better at his position. I do not think we should try and use Peterson at that position. Wilson is smart and experienced enough to play near the LOS and still be a strong safety. He is probably our hardest hitting player in our defensive backfield.

He is so much up the coaches butt that it stinks. He is doing to John Skelton as Pedro did to Jake Plummer. Never does he complement the kid. who has won more games than " The Boy Blunder, " Kevin Kolb. Playing with the same poopy OL, but John wins. Well that is if his receivers do not trip over a blade of grass. 5-2 vs 2-6. He is out preforming most of the young QB's in this league without much help from the running game or OL.

Kent get a clue...!!! AW has been a great player for this franchise. Never complains, always true to the team.
