Microsoft's response to those who don't like the online requirement: Buy a 360.
I like the online requirement if it means no load times, no downloading patches and etc.

An internet connection will not be required to play offline Xbox One games – After a one-time system set-up with a new Xbox One, you can play any disc based game without ever connecting online again. There is no 24 hour connection requirement and you can take your Xbox One anywhere you want and play your games, just like on Xbox 360.
Trade-in, lend, resell, gift, and rent disc based games just like you do today – There will be no limitations to using and sharing games, it will work just as it does today on Xbox 360.
Ha. Microsoft doesn't know what they are doing.. Can't fix ring of death.. Back tracks on mandatory online and selling and using games.. Look, I bought a Zune once.. Then I got a iPod.. Never used the Zune again.. What a screwball company sometimes..

Looks like they did the right thing, complaining about something that never happened doesnt get you anywhere.
The xbox has "got it right" for many years.
Ive never used an ipod or a zune, I use bluetooth and cds.
Nevermind the massively rich bill gates who obviously did a TON right or we wouldnt be doing half of the stuff we do today.
I never been impressed With the Xbox.. Which shouldn't come as a shock to anyone.. I've played on it before, no big thrill.. And if they can't figure out how to fix the ring of death or how their new console should perform, it doesn't really strike a vote of confidence..

Xbox One(eighty).
I still won't get one unless they ever come out with exclusive content I really want but still a good choice to address this well before launch.
I was excited about the new features but it sounds like they have been quashed.

Being able to share games with friends across the world is a good feature and I wouldn't be surprised if Steam adopts something along those lines and there really isn't anything stopping MS from doing it.
The sharing was cool.
Also, to be able to start an online game and while waiting for people to join play a different game was cool. Being able to jump game to game without putting discs in sounded cool.
To be able to log in to ANY xbox and play MY games sounded cool.
the steam type marketplace would have done wonders.
Oh well.
They could still do that, they might do it. Just don't force us to do it, at least the first time around.
Video game pundits are calling "The Xbox One-80" lol
Absolutely love it. I was calling it the XBone, but I like this much better.Xbox One(eighty).
