How did they botch this so badly? I am an XBOX guy. I hate PS3. But they are doing everything they can to steer me toward the competition when the next-gen consoles come out.

I preferred the newmethod, now that they stepped back to normalcy, the consoles are on par IMO as far as gaming goes.

Happy boys!

I am tempted to take thanksgiving week off and game non stop - then I would have to buy a game tho...

Can never go wrong with COD, right?

Every other year it is a great buy. I have been very disappointed with the Black Ops games and I may skip the generation after Ghosts. Ghosts is the only game that I am getting on launch day.

1. Not at launch. There are some rumors that it could be enabled at a later date using the cloud somehow, but don't count on it.

2. I believe that is supported.

True, treyarch blows. Ghosts is infinity ward so a safe bet.

Actually considering a PS4 this time around. Have owned the last two XBOX consoles, was actually a beta tester for both of the first two consoles and XBOX LIVE as well. $499 with questionable value over the PS4, all the back and forth with features I was excited about etc...

PS3 was too expensive and didn't deliver anything major over the XBOX 360. The Sony game library was inferior. In many cases XBOX 360 performed better graphically. Always have preferred the XBOX 360's superior controllers and control scheme. Many of the preliminary reviews I have seen state the polar opposite this time around about the consoles abilities (close but edge goes to PS4 this time).

Have not made any decisions but I am leaning PS4 as of this moment.

To me, the price point didnt make a big difference. After all, what is $100? If they are comperable machines I am happy to shell it out to have my trust xbox and live intact.

My dad has a ps3, its pretty sweet as well.

I am sad the features they first announced went away but stay hopefully that they will move them in gradually vs slapping them all in right away that way people can see the real benefits rather than hyperventilating about something they dont understand.

For me it's always been about the game library. The PS3 seems to have a more interesting lineup as of right now. Mix that in with a more powerful machine, I am just looking to get the most bang for my buck.

Last time around the XBOX 360 had all the hype around the game library even from day 1. This just feels different this time but it's still early.

I feel like things have changed tho, there are FAR less exclusives than these two used to have. Back then it really, really mattered.

Releasing at the same time, game library should be 5050.

Original xbox vs ps2 game library was a big deal because sony had thousands of games out already when xbox was just being released.

I mostly play arcade downloads anyway and maybe, maybe buy one to two retail resleases per year so not a big thing for me.

I say it is about even honestly. Infamous is my most anticipated exclusive. Titanfall interests me too though.

microsoftstore.com and amazon.com are best bets to have a day one delivery.

amazon was already sold out of "day one" systems. Best they had when I checked was Dec 31st.

So I went with Target and got a bundle with an extra controller and Call of Duty that will ship on day one.

Have you seen the new Call of Duty trailer. Amazing!

Nice!

COD is the only game that is a sure fire hit so I may be buying that and taking turkey week off and playing online all day mon-wed!!!

We will have to sync up!

I might just buy the digital copy of COD and skip the stores/preordering stuff

havent seent he trailors yet, likely will start looking at them when the box comes out. Probably start up gamefly through the holidays too to try all the new games.
