This game will mean nothing it the grand scheme of things. However it was a sort of litmus test for several young players on the Cardinals roster.

Robert Nkemdiche - Dude was dominate out there. Very encouraging. Sure he was going against nobodies but in game one of the preseason he showed how he could be very disruptive up front.

Cole Toner - He was moved to center and played very solid last night. His versatility along the OL will make him a valuable backup. I'm very encouraged with is play so far.

Hasson Reddick - You could see that he was learning a new position. A couple of time he got lost on plays early in the game. However as the game wore on he seemed to get better and more comfortable in his new role. Hopefully we continue to see improvement from this kid.

Budda Baker - As you all know he was one of my favorite players from the draft. I was so excited that the Cardinals moved up to grab him early in the second round. Seeing him out there making plays all over the field brought a smile to my face. I can't wait to see this kid get better and better!

TJ Logan - This kid looked great out there returning the ball. He clearly has an extra gear. Sucks that he got injured and I hope he can play this season as we need a boost on ST!

Young DBs Struggle:

Brandon Williams - I'm just not seeing it from this kid yet. Do you cut this kid a hope to get him on the practice squad after investing a 3rd round pick on him? He just isn't ready to play yet.

Harlan Miller - Putting this kid at CB is not doing him any favors. His only chance to make it in the NFL is at safety. Even then it's an outside chance.

I never noticed baker in the first half except after plays but I am not sure what number he has on.

Good post. NKemdiche was the best player on the field last night. Baker and Gabbert had good nights too. Very encouraging.

He wears #36 and was all over the field making tackles and had a beautiful pass breakup.

I was listening to the game on XM radio as I drove home. They were speaking highly about the plays he was making in the first half. Then I got home and watched the first half on TV they kept doing Interviews and stuff during the game so a lot of the game action on the field was missed.

It was driving me nuts that they were showing the interview while they players were playing, especially during the final two minutes of the half. You can interview the guy while showing the game simultaneously instead of showing him talking.
