    Interesting? Never heard that before. Where did you pick that up? Everything I've ever read defines it as a racial slur derived from the Latin and then Spanish word for black, Negro, and has been for 100's of years. :shrug:

    Man, have we done some crazy things to watch Cardinal football but nothing as crazy as some fine woman I know who quit her job, packed up her things and moved to Phoenix from a Mid Atlantic State just to be able to go to Cardinal football games. At Sun Devil Stadium! :eek:

    Dansby was a stud in the NFL when Washington was still in High School. Washington didn't magically make anyone any better. Replacing a Jasper Brinckley with a Daryl Washington would make any defense better . No magic to it.

    True. Odd stat: 5 of the top 12 Defensive Players last season were drafted while Bill Davis was on the staff. Peterson,Campbell,Washington,Dan Williams and Rashad Johnson. Add in the 2004 guys Dockett and Dansby and 7 were drafted before either Horton or Bowles were hired.

    I don't think in any way Horton was overrated. The Cards were horrific on Defense before he arrived, 30th in points allowed and 29th in yards allowed under Davis in 2010, and after less than half a season had them playing well enough to lead the team on an 11-2 run with what we now know was one...
