Livingston traded to Memphis

they don't want to get rid of the pick. a second rounder is non guaranteed anyway. the grizz received cash considerations in the deal, so they basically cashed out their future second rounder to take livingston off miami's hands

    Livingston traded to Memphis

yeah, really weird scenario. Atkins was also traded from denver to OKC for Johan Petro

    Livingston traded to Memphis

Looks like we won't be picking up Livingston. Too bad, i would have liked to give him a shot. If he is somehow able to became like his old self, the grizzlies may have one of the best PG/SG/SF combos in the league a few years down the road with Livingston/Mayo/Gay

    Dee Brown released...

first off, i wouldn't call miami a bad team. they have a winning record, are in the playoffs, and have a guy named Dwyane Wade playing at as high of a level as he ever has. Secondly, they already have 2 young pg's in Chalmers and Quinn, so livingston wasn't really necessary. Both Quinn and...

    Where's my Backup Point Guard?

looks like they could go after livingston. i'd be for it. what's the worst that could happen? if he gets back to old form, we'll look like geniuses for picking him up. if not, no real loss.

    Where's my Backup Point Guard?

He could be signed to a non-guaranteed contract like what Dee is getting. I'm a big Duke fan so i know a little about Nelson. He's a good defender with good size for a PG at about 6'3/200 lbs. He isn't a good shooter, but in college he was a pretty decent slasher. I haven't paid any attention...

    Camby? Salmons?

The clippers have already said they aren't shopping and won't trade any of their big men.

    Where's my Backup Point Guard?

DeMarcus Nelson was waived by the warriors today. Rookie PG from Duke. At least coming from Duke he's got a good background. couldn't hurt to give him a shot, could it?

    Barkley released after DUI arrest

^ you mean inside the NBA? well of course not. That would be dumb of the show to bring up. Charles, as much as everyone hates to admit it, is a large part of the reason anyone watches that show. he turns sometimes bland basketball talk into entertaining banters and jokes. I doubt they get rid of...

    Steve Nash's defense...

that list of defensive point guards is pretty bad. Baron Davis is actually a pretty good defender, and deron williams is far from the best in the west. i would also debate tony parker being 7th. For the eastern part of it, Stuckey isn't even a starting point guard. Andre Miller 4th is a joke...

    Richardson trade revisited

no matter how many times we revisit this trade, i will always like it. i would have hated for the front office to have declined this deal. We got the best player in the deal, and gave up the worst contract in the deal (by far).

    What happen to Dragic???

they hyped dragic up to be a spectacular player, and he just isn't. he looked awesome compared to the other players in the league he was in before, but in reality it was just a pipe dream for us to hope that he'd be able to be the backup point guard on a championship team.

Presently Satisfied With Robin Lopez Pick AT #15 ?

the main reason they took robin over the other bigs that were on the board was because someone felt he would be able to contribute now and the other guys wouldn't. i don't really like that philosophy. i think you take the player that will become the best player, not the one who can give you a...

    What happen to Dragic???

Off the top of my head, i know these playoff teams have rookies seeing minutes. keep in mind that these teams are in the playoffs as of the time of this post, but that can change by tomorrow even. Miami (Beasley) New Jersey (Lopez) San Antonio (Hill) Portland (Batum, Fernandez, Oden) Orlando...

    A small defensive trade

Denver "does it for the second round pick"? are you kidding? they trade a rotation player who is the second best perimeter defender on the team for a pick and bench warmer? denver would be crazy to do it. jones is getting close to 20 minutes a game for them, and tucker has never been a starter...

Wolves, Grizz agree on Mayo-Love deal

i had/have no idea what minnesota was thinking. to me it seems that building for the future around Jefferson and Mayo would have been awesome. Love isn't big enough to play center, and Jefferson isn't really either. Mayo, at this point, should be rookie of the year. the guy has more 30 point...

After watching Boston @ LA ...

i agree with you somewhat. i think the cavs are still learning how to be a great team that is competing for the title, while the lakers and celtics know how that works already.

After watching Boston @ LA ...

i think we all learned last year that the lakers do not play championship style basketball. they didn't play enough D then, and haven't gotten much better. they weren't tough enough then, and haven't changed that either.houston was on a long road trip? LOL they just came off of a 2-game road...

After watching Boston @ LA ...

what andrew said is completely right. i could care less how long you've watched the nba, you clearly haven't learned much. Defense? you seriously just rated the defense of the lakers over the cavaliers? PPG Given up: Lakers: 97.5 Celtics: 91.4 Cavaliers: 89.2 The cavaliers give up the least...

After watching Boston @ LA ...

cleveland is in the same group as LA and Boston if you've followed basketball at all this year. not to mention that cleveland has had the toughest schedule of all 3 of them according to the Strength of Schedule stat. Orlando beat New Orleans by 20 points this afternoon, they are also pretty...
