they don't want to get rid of the pick. a second rounder is non guaranteed anyway. the grizz received cash considerations in the deal, so they basically cashed out their future second rounder to take livingston off miami's hands- arwillan

Looks like we won't be picking up Livingston. Too bad, i would have liked to give him a shot. If he is somehow able to became like his old self, the grizzlies may have one of the best PG/SG/SF combos in the league a few years down the road with Livingston/Mayo/Gay- arwillan

He could be signed to a non-guaranteed contract like what Dee is getting. I'm a big Duke fan so i know a little about Nelson. He's a good defender with good size for a PG at about 6'3/200 lbs. He isn't a good shooter, but in college he was a pretty decent slasher. I haven't paid any attention...- arwillan

that list of defensive point guards is pretty bad. Baron Davis is actually a pretty good defender, and deron williams is far from the best in the west. i would also debate tony parker being 7th. no matter how many times we revisit this trade, i will always like it. i would have hated for the front office to have declined this deal. We got the best player in the deal, and gave up the worst contract in the deal (by far).- arwillan

they hyped dragic up to be a spectacular player, and he just isn't. he looked awesome compared to the other players in the league he was in before, but in reality it was just a pipe dream for us to hope that he'd be able to be the backup point guard on a championship team.- arwillan
