    Cardinals Win, now 3-0 !!!!

Actually they went 4-0 and then wnet 4-12 in the regular season. I think things will be different this year. Perhaps even us Cards fans are not taking the defensive play seriously enough because of the lack of national attention. What we have accomplished is amazing. I think rookie mistakes...

    Here's a question...

Excellent comparison Section 11. Emmitt will do well this year.

    Blake loves the short ball

Jeff Blake had 165 completions with the Ravens last year. 100 of them went to tight ends or backs. That is 60.6% of completions to backs or tight ends.. Todd Heap(TE) 45 Jamal Lewis(FB) 21 John Jones(TE) 3 Terry Jones(TE) 11 Alan Ricard(FB)...

    bye bye bidwill

Um, Kwamie, did Kurt Warner and Tom Brady need time to learn and grow? What about Kelly Holcomb? Plummer got more of a chance than the vast majority of QB's. He was supported from day one. Would Mariucci, Parcells, Vermeil, Belichek or Billick give a QB that much time? They brought in...

    Chidi Ahanotu

On NFL.COM they have a listing of all current players. Ahanotu was not listed. Had he retired at some point?

They did not think much of the Rams in 1999 either.

Anyone listening to "In The Bleachers"

A trainer who was a biochemistry major? He would be the right guy to come up with something to foil the drug tests. It is all way too suspicious.

    Improve the team

Back up QB-Starting Salary. Why would we want that? The Browns have a way better receiving corps than we do, and Couch could not keep his job. Put him on the Cards and get a disaster.

    Ray Lewis: Calling his shot

I think Priest Holmes is going to be motivated to show the Ravens why the should not have let him go. Look for about 125 rushing and 40 receiving from him in that game.

    Player Spotlight: WR Kevin Kasper

Kasper did well in the last 4 games of 2002. He averaged 3.75 catches and 45 yards per game and scored 3 TDS. Those are not pro-bowl numbers but he consistently produced. In pre-season so far he made some clutch catches. If he keeps this up, he will make the team.

    Yeesh!

If Washington is such a great player then why did the Bears trade him for a fourth round pick? If we are wrong in not getting him then the Bears are really wrong for trading him. In fact, 31 teams do not have the services of Ted Washington now. The Broncos are in desperate need of a DT. Why...

    Jurecki on D-Line

Bryant would not do well on passing downs at DE in a 4-3. He is too big. No matter what the salaries or experience of the players, you have to put the best performers out there. Marcus Bell is doing great. Alot of that might have to do with Bryant drawing attention. Moving Bryant might...

ESPN Radio laughing at the Cards this AM.

If Tampa Bay or Philladelphia got 8 sacks in a pre-season game the talk would be "Superbowl Defense". You would see highlights ad-nauseum. The Cards do it and the national media ignores it. When we introduce Brett Favre to the grass at Sun Devil Stadium they will take notice.

    Our D VS their D

This past week, the Cards got 8 sacks. Many were 2's VS 2's and 3's VS 3's, but look at other teams: PIT-0 PHI-1 BAL-3 BUF-0 PAT-2 WAS-3 ATL-2 TEN-4 We must be doing something right, or at least motivating the back ups. I know it is pre-season, but when you compare the Cards...

    Wakefield...

Perhaps Wakefield has looked better due to the new system. Bryant and Bell look better too. Coach Mac said that Wakefield makes a good nickel tackle. Wakefield had a blocked field goal and an interception two years ago. If I remember correctly, one of them went in for a TD. Wakefield is a...

    Running Game

What kind of blocking schemes were we using in the Bolts game? Were we trying to go plain vanilla to see what these backs could do on their own? We made it clear we would not pass much. so the Chargers knew we were playing run. In a real game things would be much different.

Our Cards have no shot at adding D-Line help with Noble out now....

"Deep Pockets" Snyder let Wilkinson go, to the Lions. Lets face it, pro-bowl players do not get cut in camp. The best anyone can do is get a servicable player.

    Offensive problems?

The Chiefs did not score a TD in pre-season until last night. Does that mean their offense is bad? No, they will still be in the top of the leauge in scoring. Blake said we were plain vanilla, and did not do use any of the play book involving Boldin. Freddie Jones alluded to the fact that...

    Running Game

The running game was not as impressive in the first half because Scobey and Prentice were running. Smith, Shipp and Anderson would have done better.

    Anyone else worried?

We did face one of the best running backs in the leauge in Tomlinson. He would do well against most teams. This is pre-season. The coordinators do not make as many adjustments as the regular season. On that drive, we did not give up 7 points, which says something about our players not quiting...

Am I the only one concerned about Blakes accuracy on short passes?

We did not throw to Hodgins or Jones. Shipp and Smith did not play. Those are our 4 best short options. What about Kaspers catch, or Fosters? They have more experience the other receivers. There will be growing pains throwing to Boldin, Johnson and Gilmore. If this were a regular season...

Stubborn or just plain stupid: Why did it take 7 years to switch from 2 gap to 1 gap?

Before camp, Coach Mac said that he would be utilizing multiple defensive formations. He said that we would experiment with a 5-2-4 alignment. The Patriots used multiple defensive formations in 2001 and it worked pretty good. We have playmakers in our defensive backfield. If we can give the...

    6 and 10 Baby!

Garcia has a bulging disk. I can not imagine that a 300 pound lineman slamming Garcia into the ground can be good for that injury. As long as that injury exists they are nuts for letting him play.
