    Edge, Hood, LaBoy cut

I know. He's a safety. But my prediction is he will be our nickel back. At tyimes last year Francisco was our nickel back. a Nickel back isn't always a corner.

    Edge, Hood, LaBoy cut

Toler will not be the nickel guy, it will be Rashad Johnson. Just curious, what do you think nickel corners make? Note: I am not being sarcastic (That last line could sound sort of snotty), I really do wonder what you think nickel corners make. I can't think of many nickels out there who...

    Edge, Hood, LaBoy cut

When he was starting, yes. But you are talking about a nickel corner making more than a lot of starting corners in the league. It is all about cost versus productivity.

    Edge, Hood, LaBoy cut

I am slightly shocked about Hood but even more shocked at LaBoy. I thought he had some value. Hood also had some value, but was overpaid for a nickel corner.

Steelers cut starting lb Larry Foote

Foote will want to be a starter, and we can only offer him a chance to compete.

Does anybody know what $$$ would make Boldin happy?

If AZ is going to give him an additional 11 million for the two years we already have him under contract it will be to lock him up for much longer than one additional year.

    WWHI: Eric Green, "extensively used"?

LOL that was just his pride that hurt!! I love when players do that.

    WWHI: Eric Green, "extensively used"?

It was a typo..... they intened to write "Often Abused by opposing WRs".

Latest Boldin to Ravens trade speculation

Purely speculation. The writer is grasping and doesn't seem to have any insider information.

What if Baltimore offered its 1st and RB Ray Rice?

Spoken better than I did. A better way to phrase it is that even if Willis is a good back, he isn't head and shoulders above the other 2 RB, but he makes 5-6 million more a year. In addition, Rice and McClain are improving, while McGahee is sliding. I hate ot say it, but McGahee reminds me of...

What if Baltimore offered its 1st and RB Ray Rice?

Why is that? Because he is McGahee? If Willis is better, it isn't by much. I watched a lot of Baltimore games and Willis McGahee hasn't played 16 games for 4 years and has lost the burst/quickness he used to have. He is quickly becoming a plodder rather than a big, shifty back. He will never...

SB is on NFL Network right now

Just before the Harrison INT was it for me. We had half a dozen chances to win that game. It makes me sad, but gives me hope!!! I said it before last year and believe it to be true. We will only go as far as our defense takes us. We know what the offense will give us, the difference in the...

What if Baltimore offered its 1st and RB Ray Rice?

Rice is in his second year and McClain in his third? Those guys are cheaper and better than McGahee. I doubt BAL adds any RB other than the expensive one who seems to be slipping. You just don't trade cheap, young talent in the NFL.

    Pre-Draft Cardinal Thoughts

How can you say he isn't worth a first and third when that offer is already on the table from the Ravens? If he isn't worth it, why is a team offering it? My guess is AZ values Q as worth more than a low first and a third. Q is worth a first and a third, just based off of market value. That...

Sportscenter: Ravens have contacted Cardinals to offer 1st and 3rd

The good news is if this is the first round of offers, there may be some wiggle room to improve the offer. I really do think AZ is hoping for 2 firsts or a #1 and #2. The Raven's biggest problem is how low their first rounder is. The Jets need a WR, but also need a QB, so I doubt they will...

Sporting News Today: Cardinals' Offseason Report (04/15/2009)

Didn't I read somewhere about 1-2 years ago that AZ had paid out the third most in salary and bonuses over the previous 5 years in the league?

Giants expected to acquire Braylon Edwards

They are blowing everything up and starting over.... literally. As for Edwards. he has talent, but other than 2007, he hasn't produced. Last year was painful to watch. I can honestly say I watch a lot of Browns games and he is Troy Williamson except 2007.

    Chris Peters/LT/BILLS reportedly available...

Seen it several places. The guy wants to get paid. I think Mike Lombardi had the rumor first. As far as is he worth it? Yes, especially given Gandy's looming contract and Peter's youth and ability. He would be a huge upgrade. But you would have to deem OT more important than the edge rusher / RB...

Chris Wells, Brandon Pettigrew, Larry English: IMHO the 3 guys on Cards wish list.

a 6'3 RB who runs VERY upright, carried the ball a TON of times (600 in high school and 339 his freshman year), missed games his freshman year due to a separeted shoulder, had a bum ankle his sophmore year missing 4 games, a collarbone injury he claims he hurt his freshman year, but didn't snap...

    Edge

And unlike AIG you hedge your bets with a backup plan. Edge is that backup plan until another abled body RB is on the roster.

Why I Doubt The Cards Draft a RB at #31

We know what we get from our offense. A RB will be taken, but not to be relied on for the thier first year. But I think we only go as far as our defense takes us. And the biggest thing our defense is missing is pressure. I still think an edge rusher is a priority and there are plenty of them...

Could Harrison deal push Dansby back to the table?

Less than he is getting now. We just paid him nearly half of that the past two years.
