    Bulger, La Confora

You know the funny thing about this is that I heard in an interview that Harbaugh had looked at film on Smith and likes him and thinks he can be a productive quarterback. I may have heard it in the La Confora interview or it could have been somewhere else. The point is that Harbaugh likes...

    Bulger, La Confora

La Confora kind of addressed this by saying that Bulger was so beat up and hurt and was on such a bad team for so long with no margin for error that it did start to affect his attitude. Thats why he wants to go to a team that can run the ball and play some defense. It seems he understands...

    2011 Draft: Ricky Stanzi, QB

High football IQ, true game manager, understands the offense Tireless worker, real tape/gym rat, works hard, high character Kind of guy you want leading your offense Cool calm demeanor, doesn't get rattled and is his own biggest critic Consistant Played in a pro style offense Is the...

    Bulger, La Confora

Me too.....with the other obvious strong point is that he is a free agent and we wouldn't have to give up anything to get him.

Maycock on Patrick Peterson : Antrelle Rolle part 2

True, but he kind of scares me after watching him in the bowl game where he seemed to play off receivers and they caught a lot of balls in front of him. I remember thinking at the time that he either doesn't have the speed or he has trouble turning to run with the receivers so thats why he...

    Bulger, La Confora

Did anyone here Jason La Confora of NFL.com on Bickley and MJ today? When Bickley asked him who he thought the Cardinals should go after Orton or Kolb, La Confora said neither. He thought the best fit for the Cardinals was Marc Bulger. He went on to say that he has talked to several coaches...

    Implementing Lebeau's Defense

You could well be right but I heard Horton in an interview say that the most important part of being able to implement LeBeau's defense was having defensive lineman that can run and that was what made Arizona so attractive to him. He seemed to be saying that you have to have lineman who have...

    Who are your sleepers??

For a real sleeper that I like at a position of need for the Cardinals is tight end Collin Franklin of Iowa State. Franklin is 6' 5" 252 lbs. and lean and could easily put on another 10-15 lbs. He doesn't have great speed but hes the type of guy that always seems to be open. He caught 54...

    Implementing Lebeau's Defense

I heard him give an interview and he said most of what he'd run would be from LeBeau but that he would like to incorporate some things he learned from Jimmy Johnson.

Butler Denied Permission, Horton Expected to be Next DC

I agree. I also heard that to keep Butler last year they gave him a two year contract at about 750,000 per year, a big amount foe a linebackers coach. I heard because of that investment in Butler they weren't just going to let him walk away with a year left on his contract. Hortons contract...

3rd QBs, John Skelton, and Scouting Spread Quarterbacks

I agree that Skelton had some poorly thrown balls but he had more than his share of balls dropped by receivers too. Rodgers is probably a poor comparison because he played a much higher level competetion in college than Skelton. Skelton has much more to learn as a rookie than Rodgers did when...

Todd Bowles impresses Ken Whisenhunt in interview

This wouldn't hurt either. It would be nice to have a coordinator who had some experience in evaluating players. With either draft or free agency this could help as would having a guy from another division besides the Cardinals or the Steelers.

    Day 1 Senior Bowl practice

Don't know about that. His bio says he's from Hog Hammock, Georgia and once killed an alligator with a shovel. :D

    Cards targeting LeBeau?

The intersting thing to me is that after Wolf made the comments about LeBeau they had on Cardinals Special Team Coach Kevin Spencer and he seemed to give the LeBeau as Cardinals DC some validity. He said that Whiz and LeBeau have a very close relationship. In fact he called it an almost father...

I think that the word was getting out and some reporters were starting to ask questions.

Breaston wide open and dufus throws it behind him

Theres no arguement that DA has had many bad throws but his receivers need to help him and I thought there were several catchable balls in this game that the receiver just didn't make. I come down on the side of Breaston has to make that catch. It was an acceptable throw and he should have...

    Who Here Has Done This?

No I haven't wished for DA to get injured but I remember thinking when he got hit hard during the Ram game that Leinart wouldn't survive the punishment DA was taking.

IMO Why Max Hall is not just another rookie

Two things. 1) I think Hall might be a smarter player than Jake, although Jake was smart enough to make a whole pile of money and still retire with his health. 2) I think Max has more to work with than Jake ever had when he was a Cardinal.

    I'm Excited

I understand what you're saying but we don't know if those guys will be healthy either. Hasn't Bryant already had an injury in pre-season? Has he even caught a pass yet? He may be great but we haven't seen anything yet and he had a few problems in college too. I think I'll reserve judgement.

Pre-Season Weekly Who impressed you and why? (Bears)

Agreed. Matt Ware is having a fantastic camp and pre-season.

Who had a bad game thread

One of my problems with Roberts is he seemed to be surprised when the ball was thrown to him. It could just be the speed of the game but he seemed to have that "There's the ball, I can't believe it" look. Or better yet " I didn't think there would be a defender there" look.

Who impressed you the most tonight and why?

Toler really impressed me with his athletic talent. I had a great view on a pass he broke up. He was breaking on the reciever and jumped to tip the ball, the reciever stopped and in mid-air Toler twisted his body to keep from coming into contact with the reciever and still reached around to...

    Dan Williams?

I heard some guys calling him the onion because of that big backside. Those legs are huge too. He is very very thick.

    After rewatching the game

I thought that DA looked OK, and Skelton looked good, but I couldn't help wondering how Matty would have looked if he had half the time to throw that either of those two had?

    Official Daryl Washington Man-Crush Thread

Thats what struck me too. Here is a guy that has just a couple weeks of practice and he seemed to be directing everything. I even saw him talking to the safetys before the snap. He seemed to be even giving indivdual instructions to players that have been in the league for several years. Amazing.
