I’ve got questions there also but I do know he’s got PG handles and can shoot the three.

But his D will be a problem, full stop, no question.
He is also unquestionably a great floor general. His passing is phenomenal. He has good speed too. Its not top speed like some other pg's but it is very good speed.

I can live with Young's defense or lack thereof. What bothers me, he was unable to lift his team once teams started double and triple teaming him. Didn't watch Providence so I don't know if this happened to Curry and he was able to overcome adversity.

I think I remember Stef having his greatest success his sophomore season where he got Davidson to within a bucket of the Final Four but didn’t get them as far... or maybe even back to the tourney his last year.

And that was when he was older and more accomplished than Young this year.

It's really hard to lift a team that is that bad.

I do like Young. There are concerns about every player. I think his draft workouts will tell the story.

If the Suns do not get Ayton, maybe the Suns will consider him.

That's what I was trying to get at.

Did Curry have more talent around him at Davidson and did teams try to take away his game?

It may be redundant but I think Young already has Nash-like qualities unless NBA teams can take away his game.

He played more than 35 minutes per game, as a freshman. And he was almost single handedly responsible for all aspects of their offense while fighting against defenses designed to stop JUST him. I've never seen his kind of success against that kind of attention before. The guy had no legs left by the time March came around. Just getting into the tournament conversation was a testament to his ability. I highly doubt that there will be a college player drafted this year that will rival Trae's NBA success (barring injury).

I'm still in favor of drafting Ayton but it's mostly because of how everyone keeps telling me I'm wrong about him. I don't see stardom for him at all. He has a high ceiling and a decent floor but I expect him to peak closer to his mid-point than his ceiling and I can't say the same about Young. Even with the high praise for Ayton, if it weren't for our abysmal front line - I'd jump off his bandwagon and start screaming for us to draft Trae (even if we get the first pick).

It's the lure of a quality big man. Suns fans have always felt deprived. I think Ayton is the safest pick in the draft but Young could turn out to be the best pick.

If there was only a way to get both.

Young does have great passing and shooting skills. Things the Suns sorely need next to a quality big man.

DeMar DeRozan + Kyle Lowry = 19 pts; Cleveland Cavaliers = 19 pts. Raptors up 33-19 after the 1st Q.

It's the nature of the business, it's the Big Man's Blues. You see it on the internet, you hear it every day. Teams say they're going to stop it, but it hasn't gone away. They draft them in Arizona, even in LA. They bench them up in Portland, I mean it's here to stay. You ask any scout, he'll say there's nothing we can do. From the office of the GM, right down to me and you. Me and you.

Team workouts should tell the tale though.

It's a losing proposition, but one you can't refuse. It's the politics of drafting, it's the Big Man's Blues. The Big Man's Blues.

In case I was too subtle (or too clumsy), I really miss Glenn Frey.

What I was trying to say, in team workouts Trae Young should do well when teams are able sample his work.

OT but one of my favorites.

I bought that on DVD when it first came out. He doesn't admit it but I swear, Ben Stiller patterned his Zoolander look after Nils Lofgren who played guitar for Young at that concert (and was briefly in Crazy Horse before that). Nils still lives in Arizona, I believe. If you like Sample and Hold, give Transformer Man a chance too. It's from the same concert and is very similar in style.

Bird was amazing. Great shooter had to run him off the 3. Great post player because he had so many moves and footwork and then if you double he picks you apart with passing.

If Doncic is even remotely in that class of good he's going to be a hell of a player
Yeah it’s a big if. But that’s my point. A dude that’s that good but unathletic is usually REALLY freakin good.

This TNT broadcast of the Cavs vs Raptors is terrible. They're packing the commercials in at every break in action and have been slow to return, they didn't get back in time to show the ball be thrown back into play a couple possessions ago. They get back with literally seconds until the action kicks back up. I know this is the B game today but there aren't other games on, it's just TNT greed.

I loved that concert.

It was electric and Lofgren was a big part of it. I will give Transformer Man a look to make sure I haven't seen it.

That version of "Sample and Hold" cannot be bought. I do not like any other version.

I noticed there were back-to-back commercials and I wondered what gives.

Valanciunas has missed some easy baskets inside and Love gives an elbow to DeRozan.

Yeah, it was on his Lucky 13 album but the live Berlin version is so much better.
