I appreciate seeing any video from TC, but I guess I'm a greedy guy. So, if possible, I'd like to see LESS of NUK (I know how good he is) and MORE of Butler (can he hold onto the ball), Isabella, Johnson, Sherfield and Ward. Also, the TE's. Like I said I'm a greedy guy.

I just look at Fotu and the coach in me just sees a rare combination of size and length that doesn't seem to outright fail at the NFL level.

Guys like Danny Shelton may not be superstars, but they have a place in the league. The thought of Leki Fotu at 6'5 330 and 34.25" arms on a line with Jordan Phillips at 6'5 329 and 34.75" arms in a division where the two best teams want to run the ball is pretty exciting. That is just a lot of physical body to block in games. That isn't even when factoring the NT. I am getting excited just typing about it.

See, completely irrational.

Shades of Mao Tosi for me. His rookie year made me think he was going to DOMINAT, but he faded real quick.

Kliff Kingsbury looking for positives in practice schedules

No, training camp is not normal, and neither is the preseason.

But with no benefit in complaining about it, Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury is choosing to look for the positives in the late start and lack of preseason games.

Via Darren Urban of the team’s official website, Kingsbury said he likes the ability to use consecutive practices to teach and install without interruption.

You have to be smart,” Kingsbury said. “You have six days where you can go full speed when you never had that in training camp, split up with a preseason game, a travel day and a recovery day. So I like how installs flow. I think you can get a lot of great walkthrough work and a lot of carry over.

“But you have to find a way to fit in those moments of live competition where guys are tackling and being tackled so you are comfortable with doing that before you get into Week One.”

The Cardinals will be in full pads for the first time today, after working offense vs. defense in shells for the first time Friday. That’s a hard way to prepare for the live action of a regular season, but they’re on equal footing with every other team in that regard.

Good article. Probably deserves its own thread.

Really liked this quote from Budda
"I saw him, and he looked a little buffer," said safety Budda Baker. "He's definitely thicker. ... He definitely seems faster, stronger arm."

In some ways it reminds me of Lamar Jackson (know you're not a huge fan, but its just to make my point)

Lamar was fast his rookie year, but he didnt seem as overly impressive as he did in college. Suddenly the following offseason he put on more weight and seemed to get faster.

Not saying Kyler is going to run for 1000 (we dont need him to do that. His job is to get it to the playmakers)

However, if he's a more dynamic athlete as well as improved his QB play...lookout.

Sidenote: Looks like people were right about Kyler losing weight at the end of the year. Played at 196.
