On a side note, this show is just so unrealistically ridiculous and it just gets worse season after season, but it's so damn good that I can't quit it no matter how hard I try!

Based on the previews for next week, I guess we can assume Jack's dad is also dirty?!?! C'mon, man! Jack's long lost bro is the most powerful, dirtiest, most insidious man in the US? Get the hell outta here!

It's like a damn soap opera! I love it!

Jack's brother was a real ***** on ER, IIRC.

They hit us with a ton of setup this week, all of which kind of annoyed me. Our new arms dealer and his girl, blech. The whole implied relationship between Jacks brother and his family, meh. The dad is a bad guy from somewhere else. Was it a previous season or another show/film I'm thinking of?

I was thinking about this as well. There is so many stories they have to tie together that one hour shows aren't usually enough to have much happen. Even though it's only in "Real time" there is about 4-5 seperate things happening each show that it might be better to have more two hour shows.

Another thing. They keep making a point of showing Jack's messed up hand. He got it messed up in China obviously, but I wonder if there is a "Story" behind that or not since it never was brought up.

Yeah that would be great. I'm thinking things are going over the top but, eh. Have to keep people watching.

Season 5 was already ridiculously over the top and I sense that Season 6 is going that way. I hope this isn't the beginning of the end because it has been such a good show for so long....

i was watching with my brother (who had watched it already) and when they revealed the "father" bit he turned to me and said, "now, i'm gonna save you a lot of anticipation: it's not donald." that ended up being really good, because he was right, that was my first thought and i would have been really disappointed if i had thought about it all episode long.
