When papa bauer came in while jack was about to kill brother bauer, it was the perfect time to drop a "that'll do, Jack. That'll do." Got a laugh from the friends watching with us.

And abomb wasn't there, so I wasn't greeted with a blank "wtf" look. The people we watched it with were cool, and thus had seen Babe, and thus got the joke, and thus ltao. :D

Well, considering how much I have enjoyed every season of 24 - I did the unthinkable last night... I turned off the show @ 7:50. Basically, I couldn’t take any more of this season.

THE SHOW IS UNWATCHABLE! I had a nice discussion (argument) with the wife on how each character this season is an exact carbon-copy of a previous character. There is nothing new, fresh, innovative, etc. on this show. I am so disappointed in the writers, producers, and directors.

Agreed. Im going to hang on til the end of this season, but the entire premise of this season is one giant re-tread. Sure there are twists and turns in the episodes that keep me interested, but the everything those turns are based on are completely rehashed ideas from previous seasons. DAMN YOU 24!!!!!

I thought last night was better than most of this season's episodes, but I couldn't help but laugh hysterically at the twist at the end.

Whatever, I still like the show. Its not like it was any less corny in seasons 2, 3, 4 or 5.

They still do urban combat better than any show ever, and most movies.

Dude, I wasn't insulting you or anything. I've watched the show nonstop since it started. I just think there is a lot of truth in the idea someone posted that the show just repeats things over and over. I was starting to get a little disappointed in it over the past few episodes.

I'm not insulted. I just find it funny that people think that it is now jumping the shark....how many times have we seen the mole angle? The show was repetitive from season 2. It's still a fun watch, as long as you don't take it too seriously.

It's always been a bit over the top.

Just sayin is all. :)

I just think it's about time they do something different instead of the same ole, same ole... I thought there might be something interesting happening when that nuclear bomb went off, but they haven't done much more that's interesting. It is a fun watch, but I wish it was more interesting.

I agree completely. This is why I still find the first season to be the best. After that, the show became very predictable.

I think they were just afraid to try to "fix what isn't broke." The show's ratings were increasing each season until this one. But repetitive or not, it's still entertaining, although nowhere near as must-see as during first season.

Didn't they use the exact same set with Poppa Bauer & Jack trading for Jack's nephson just LAST season, with Audrey where the bad guy got Jack to give him the tape and then cut her artery? That set was SOOOO familiar, especially given that the scene was similar as well. I could be wrong, but it felt the same.

Don't misunderstand me and my issues with a "same-old-same-old".

I still watch the show every week, and will buy the season on DVD when it's available, just like I have for the previous 5 seasons...

I just think that the creative forces behind the show need to turn things in a different direction.

This kind of repetition will kill their ratings.

Well, I missed this week's episode. What episode number was this? We gotta be at about the 10th episode, right?

Anyways, does anyone know if there is a replay at any point so I can watch this past episode before next week's?

Otherwise, is there anyone who DVR'd it and would be so kind as to sell me a copy so my wife and I don't miss a beat? I will meet you wherever is convenient for you.....

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!

:D
