I quite watching after the 5th or 6th episode. Up until this season, Jack Bauer was the baddest man alive (in entertainment). Now, I can't stomach the show... so disappointed.

HOWEVER - my wife tells me Rick Shroeder (sp?) is coming on the show next week... I really like him in NYPD Blue, so I might give it another chance. I don't worry about missing part of the story line, since it just repeats every season - I should be able to pick up within 5 min of show opening.

Don't they have the episodes on fox's web site? If not, you should just try to torrent the one you missed.

This show, while not bad this season, certainly hasn't been very exciting. Pretty disappointing.

But since you can watch Heroes later on NBC.com, 24 it is on Monday nights.

Rick Schroeder is coming in as Curtis' replacement as head of field ops. Should be interesting if they make him a badass like Jack.

C'mon, party people. I know that not all of you guys dropped off the 24 wagon. Let me know if you can help us out!!!!

It's my favorite show, but as a Chef working every night except monday nights, my opinion might be a bit slanted, as I can't watch many prime time tv shows...

This season is not as good as the past seasons, but I'm still watching. I finally got around to watching last weeks, and was actually somewhat disinterested. (Last week was the first time that I chose Heroes over 24.)

I still wish they dedicated this season to Jack bad-assing (sp?) his way out of China!

It's already been mentioned how repetitive this show has always been, but this is getting ridiculous. How long can they keep this up? Do the writers realize that it's almost like watching the same movie over and over again? Every plot and every sub-plot is recycled; the only thing that changes are the characters involved. I don't think I can bear to watch another year of this. But maybe next year will be about Jack going back to China, which was set up in this episode.

On another note, can anyone confirm/deny whether the U.S. president (or acting president) has the sole authority to do what the vice president is planning to do on the show? I didn't think he could do that without approval from Congress, but I am not quite sure anymore.

They've learned from the current administration's actions... ;)

Seriously though, I groaned when they started talking about the "leak" in the CTU offices, although I am pretty surprised with how fast they came up with an answer (even though I think Nadia is too obvious to be the one that actually is the leak).

Yes he can...He can't start an "official war" without Congress...But he can do whatever he wants with HIS troops...At least for a period of time(90 days?), until congress votes to withdraw funds...IIRC

And there's problems with both plausible scenarios, too. If the real leak is setting her up, he'd have to know she'd be the first place they'd look to discover where the drone pilot was, and if she really was doing it on her own she'd have to be an idiot to set it up from her own workstation; a. knowing they'd check her out first as they'd already lowered her security clearance and b. especially since she had been working under that other douchebag's login. It doesnt make any sense to me.

My problem is this whole wake Palmer from his coma thingy they are apparently going to explore. That whole notion is completely ridiculous.

I'm so far behind (7 hours I think) that Jack went back to the Chinese prison.

Baller, where you a cook at?

I quit my job a week ago at the Half Moon in Big Sky, Montana. I'm moving back to Phoenix next week...I've got a few job offers in Phoenix, but I'm not sure which one I'm going to take. The last restaurant I worked at in Phx was Pullanos.

I wonder if they might be setting him up to take the lead role? Could Jack be a surprise death this season, or is that going too far?

I don't know...I still like the show but this episode was the jump the shark one, for me.

Bring Prez out of coma to save the day (after getting blow'd up three hours ago) and he's lucid and ready to take control again.

Ok...say that I buy that.

Sending Rainman out to make the deal with Gradenko, especially after he just saw storm troopers bust in and shoot up his brother...20 minutes later he trusts Mr. Jack and gets the deal done (well shot though, damn that scene was well shot...nobody does urban combat better than 24).

Ok...say I buy that too.

You can't expect me to buy them both, in the same episode. You just CAN'T!

I think they're setting up Sliver Spoons to take Jack's spot, so he can run off to China and save big-crooked-nose girl in "24" the movie.

Who else is betting that Nadia (fine ass Nadia) is ultimately the leak after all? Who's betting she's tied in with the terrorists and it was their plan to cast aspersion onto her (I'd personally like to cast something else onto her) so that they could clear her and she becomes above suspicion?

That is a good call...Who else would have access to plant the chip(whatever it is) on her computer, and why would she really want to stay on with CTU with how she was treated?
