I'll take Kipers board over anybody. It is surprising that our teams need and fit board is so much different. BA is a different bird- I thought Keim was a solid drafter-

I see high risk low reward - I can like the 27th, 84th and 160 - But don't see an upgrade over Carlson at TE short or long term, maybe Brown can make a big play 1 time a year if he makes the team- The QB may develop into a solid practice squad space holder.

How Logan Thomas got on the Cards 120:

QB rating:

production 2 points

accuracy 1 point

spatial awareness 3 points

ball security 2 points

played QB at Arians alma mater Virgina Tech 500 points

Sadly, I agree. Had he played for someone like Rutgers, he wouldn't be on our draft board.

Big, inaccurate qbs have plagued this franchise many times in the past. Other than mobility, he doesn't possess the talent to succeed at the next level.

Jimbo Fisher, just now on NFL Network, said he recruited him as a TE, but he turned them down because VaTech said they would recruit him as a QB. I have never heard anything from ACC chatter that tells the story differently.

ESPN They tried to be kind but couldn't. The guy wasn't good in college. Polian said he will call BA tomorrow to find out what he was thinking. Isn't seeing any of it.

The NFL Network is the property of the NFL. No way are they ever going to do anything but put a positive spin on any player. They have become a PR sideshow. The closest they will come is to say, "no comment" or " I'd rather not get into that".

There is no way IMO you can justify this as a 4th round pick. This kid was CLEARLY going to be available. at # 196

It doesn't really matter in this draft. The guys at 100 are the same as the guys at 200.

The ultimate lunch pail draft.

ok

:bang:

“It kind of shows he’s willing to work with a guy and build him up and create him pretty much a monster in the way they play football,” Thomas said. “I couldn’t have gone into a better situation.”

:bang:

OK BA wants the challenge- but Keim has to say -if he there at the right time- like after the stupid draft! and if he was taken before we got back to him- or anytime before the end of the draft! The Cards are a better team for it!

What a change from last years draft!

That is the silliest thing I have heard you say. but it makes sense to Ba and Keim- " there aint much difference from the 1st or the 6th round- let it rip Keim baby!"

Sure Michael somebody else would have taken him sometime - before the season ends! wink wink

This is something we also need to consider, Tom Moore is on this staff. If Tom Moore comes out to approve this, then I will have a very positive spin on this pick. Also note that Arians really believes in next man up and a fourth round pick is not going to sink him and does not prevent him going QB again in the next draft... this is not 1st round potential death pick from a decade ago with a huge contract. Chill on this later round pick guys and maybe it might turn out :)

Oh it matters.. Especially when there's a chance you could have drafted someone who may actually help this team on game days as opposed to never!

That's what I'm talking about. 100-200 there would be a difference of opinion on whether the guy would actually help on game days or never.

I think deep draft is a euphemism for a draft with almost an entire class of 4th round talent.

According to BA Logan's accuracy issues are "all footwork and easily fixable". Hope this is true.

Dude is a beast. I like him, just worried he may get injured pretty quick if he continues to try to plow players over.

This dude is not as inaccurate as his numbers suggest either...his WR's dropped a TON of easily catch-able balls throughout his career.

Plus, learning 3 different systems in 3 consecutive years will not be easy for anyone.

NFL network just said when grading our draft a B+/B that he is the wild card. If he develops, then in 4 years this draft is an A+, easy.

Arians said it was "close" that other team could take Thomas. "I know two teams that were going to take him right behind us." #CardsDraft

Interesting insight.

I remember Keim saying that Thomas mentioned that other teams were calling him to see if anyone had called him.

Linley is a never has a chance to be a starter.

Thomas at least has some potential and measurable to be one at some point.
