In the last couple of years the Cardinals have paid Daryl Washington 5M each year. Hearing AZ is looking to recover some of his bonus money.

This can't be anything positive

I believe that pursuing his bonus money has been in play since the day he was suspended.

Regardless, one way or the other, I think it's time for some closure to this situation. If his application was denied, let's hear it. I'd imagine within the next 10-14 days, we'll hear something, but who knows.

On the team site, there's a poster who played pickup basketball against Dwash last evening. Says, he looked great and was dunking. When asked, he said that he was expecting an answer soon.

There is no point in dumping him now. They can try to get bonus money back, and that is fine. I do not see why that would mean the Cardinals do not maintain their rights to him.

This is getting ridiculous that the league will not issue any information on what is going on.

How hard is it to make a statement and let the fans know what is going on?
