This is getting ridiculous that the league will not issue any information on what is going on.

How hard is it to make a statement and let the fans know what is going on?

Exactly!!! This is the only player that's been suspended whom we've had zero info about!!!

Makes no sense

It sure appears that way, given his # was given to an UDFA & no info on his status regardless of the so called reasoning.

The # has nothing to do with it, they can switch that easy.

He simply is not coming back. The season is almost here and he has yet to be reinstated. Once reinstated he will be suspended again. He has missed two training camps in a row. Even if he comes back, I would expect him to be a situational player at best after missing two camps in a row. Just give up on him like Arians did. If he comes back, great. If not, he is not expected anyway so it doesnt matter.

Spilt milk. The decision is that he is not reinstated.

Just trying to figure out why--out of all players--Goddell has chosen to make an example/be so harsh to Washington and banish him to Siberia.

I guess his name doesn't drive headlines, so the NFL can just ignore the situation?

I tried to find Goddell and I couldn't even find an email for him. Its like he only exists on TV. I wanted to write him a letter about Daryl Washington but I can't find the guy.

His name is Goodell. G-O-O-D-E-L-L.

Maybe that's why he can't be found.

Why is it so hard to believe that a guy who has screwed up 6-8 times already has screwed up again? The NFL does not send out press releases saying that their substance abuse policy didn't work. The NFL has twice in the last two months come out and said that there's been no change in Washington's status with the NFL.

Honestly, 25% of the total people in the country who are passionate about the status of Daryl Washington are on this board. Another 15-20% work on Hardy Drive.

Is publicly shaming Washington (again) by announcing his continued suspension respectful to him or the franchise? The Cards and NFL would prefer you forget about Daryl Washington.

This sounds right at this point.

I mean, the other option is what... Goodell harbors a grudge for some unknown reason... And so does NFLPA who's been silent on the issue?

On Urban's blog today he said that Arians was asked about fans begging for information and he said, "Ask Daryl. I'm not allowed to talk to him. Have the Birdgang call Daryl." LOL.
