for those of us who have been around a while....history has shown that if you make national headlines for abusing a female,.. your ol'lady or whatever,...you do not remain an Arizona cardinal for long.
direct any questions regarding that to Michael pittman.

What are you talking about k9? I can't find any info on leaving his kid in a car.

He left his kid in the car to go break his girlfriend's collarbone.

EDIT: Oops. I was wrong about that

http://docslide.us/documents/daryl-washington-police-report.html

Apologies. You're just a guy who's abandoned his teammates twice to smoke some weed. Oh, and you broke your girlfriend's collarbone.

lol...abandoning his teammates to smoke weed...you keep saying this. A MAJORITY of Americans believe that weed should be legal. In a couple of years it will be...that police report looks to be a two sided altercation...what was his statement. I am a single dad and have custody of my son.

Don't think for a second that she was completely innocent. I have yelled at my ex as she screamed at me...not having your child is emotionally damaging to both parties. If you don't have children or have not been in a situation where your child is in the custody of the other parent or you are dealing with the parent without custody you have no perspective...well, you have a consistent judgmental perspective...with little merit or understanding. I bet you live in a world of black and white thinking. The scariest form of logic.

I honestly don't care what a majority of Americans think. He'd already left his fans and teammates in the lurch for 4 games just the year before. It takes like six positive or skipped tests to be suspended the first time.

He made a choice that he loved weed more than his teammates and fans. I don't understand how anyone can stand behind him anymore. I'll take him back because we've already paid him $10M and he's good at football, but to believe in your heart that this is a good guy who's being abused by some system?

That's utter jiggery-pokery.

that's great... the NFL doesn't and Washington KNEW this and IGNORED it REPEATEDLY. THAT is abandoning his teammates because he did what he wanted to do, regardless of the consequences.

He choked her hard enough to leave marks on her neck and then pushed her hard enough to the ground where she broke her collarbone. And was CONVICTED of assault. None of that is based on judgement. It's FACT. Your suppositions that it was a two-sided altercation are NOT.

Agreed... I can understand people wanting him back because of his football skills. But anyone attempting to defend or deflect his off the field actions is simply ignorant.
DWaste has shown to be a terribly irresponsible, reckless and selfish person. He has shown to be a teammate that can't be relied upon. He has put himself (nobody did this to him) in positions where he is consistently unavailable to the coaches and players.
As for me, if he never wears Cardinal red again it would be too soon... And based upon the evidence that is before us at this moment in time, I would be shocked if he ever plays another down for the Cards.

Agreed... but again, there are people on this board who were calling for the head of the Security Guard who was merely doing his job when he called in suspicious activity of a fall-down drunk Massie, so why wouldn't they defend an even better player who's only gotten busted with drugs probably 8 times and assaulted his baby-mama... right in front of his kid. It's the weirdest disconnect in the world to me the way people will defend their own players, even in the most disgusting of circumstances. I get wanting them on the field... I don't get defending their character when they absolutely crap the bed off it.

To be fair he was never arrested after being caught with drugs. He had pot in his urine

The post said he was caught with drugs 8 times which is not correct. Kinda like how he now leaves babies in hot cars.

I know... the poor guy never actually was in possession of the weed. It just magically appeared in his system. :bang:

Yeah, that's totally what i said.

Being "caught with drugs" is different than a dirty UA.

who said he was caught with drugs 8 times?
Okay, "busted"

There only thing he has been busted for is DV. Was just moving toward accurate statements since the last few pages of this thread have had false charges brought up and diatribes of conjecture being seen as fact

It doesn't matter what the majority of Americans think his employer says it is against the rules. Much the same way mine does. You'd think he d be mature and dedicated enough to leave it be as long as he wants to continue to be a well paid NFL player. All the failures show is his desires outweigh his dedication to the team, the fans and the league, he is all about himself.

Absolutely. The onus is on him no matter how stupid the rule is.

A shame that we can lose a star player over marijuana :(

It was his choice. We didn't lose him - he lost us. He chose weed over his teammates and the fans.

Here is a violin for the guy that cannot follow simple rules: :violin:

if that was in response to my "busted with drugs"... a) give me a break. I'm pretty sure by now we all know what we're talking about with Washington busted with drugs in his system.

The phrase being busted doing something implicates someone catching you in the act

Right... so, again... the weed must have been what? Placed into his system by someone else without DWaste knowing about it?
I'm lost on your line of thinking dude. He got "busted" by the league for pot - 8 times! Not sure where you're going with this...

I made it clear where I was going with it

Anyway like I said before, he's done. He's not coming back. It's a dead issue. Sucks for him, sucks for us now but we will fix it.

Here you go 82. That's where I was going with it. You interpret being busted differently. That's OK with me.
