This topic is very explosive and based on all the posts here a very touchy and raw subject. I agree we all need to take a deep breath and get back to the subject at hand which is DWash. DWash has us going at each other just because of what he has done. Damn DWash! I think the team should just jettison him because he's even having an effect on the fans of the team. I think we should start a release DWash campaign.

So your answer to the problem is more argument and more too-and-fro verbal bashing.... good plan. ;)

Heard form a reliable source that more NFL news may be announced tomorrow, which would also encompass domestic violence related suspensions.

very shrewd timing from the league to drop this right before the holiday weekend when NO ONE will give a crap and the next news cycle washes it away by Monday.

They've learned a lot from politicians I guess...

I'm betting his legal advice was to not file 4 reinstate then he's in legal limbo and the Cards can't touch his signing bonus. He got his 10 mill and going to live on that. The cards can't do a thing.

The bonus is part of a contract for service. Not applying for reinstatement would be a material breach and the Cards would have recourse. Contract Law 101.

(de facto he would be retiring and like Jake Plummer in the past, Borland this year, bonus money would be retrieved unless there is specific language in the contract, which I highly doubt.)

Me too... I am not the moral police, I am a football fan of the Az Cards. Just win baby. Besides who am I to judge anyone. I wasn't there to even pass my own ideals. Sounds like he did bad...sounds like he has done good since...

Bingo

I don't use the sports and entertainment industry to be my moral guide. I don't look to sports for role models for my kids, either. The athletes I watch are there to entertain and win my teams ball games, not teach me how to behave. Many act like dopes, but the more people bitch and complain about that landscape, the more disappointed they're setting themselves up to be.

Well its less than a month to TC seems like Roger is quick with suspensions and slow on reinstatements, not sure of all the factors and nitty gritty just would like to hear a plain yes or no

Roger has an easy out here .The reason we suspended Washington for the entire season is that we considered his DV incident when we were making our decision , thus the suspension for the entire season . D-Wash has been a model citizen for a year , cut him some slack and reinstate him . Let it be so !!!

Dwash's drug suspension is per a sequential set of penalties negotiated under the CBA.

The DV is a separate adjudication (conduct detrimental to the game) and is under the Commish's control.

Hardy's suspension dropped from 10 games to 4.

Confident that D-Wash is 2-4

judging from that ruling, I gotta believe that's the ceiling-floor. just wish they'd announce it already.

I expected when I saw the news about Hardy that Washington would be soon. I even half expected him to be a blurb in the USA Today article they had on Hardy.

There has to be something else going on that no one knows about publicly yet. It is way too quiet, too close to the season. I wouldn't be surprised that he didn't apply yet for some reason.

Already been stated that he did and they have until the 15th of this month to respond. Being that they release this info slowly on Friday afternoons, I suspect it comes out later today.
