Where have you been? Awfully quiet in that camp the last few days.

Thank god Porter is gone, hope we can snowball these last few games.

Most Amare haters dont hate Amare, but the fact that he has not improved on defense or rebounding in the last 3 seasons. You seem to be the exact opposite of the people you are calling out by simply choosing to neglect that.

He is a great player....against the Clippers....... thanks God !!!!

No hes a great Offensive Player against anyone. But only if you don't try and turn him into a half court player that stands around taking jumpers and watching Shaq clog the paint as the rest of the team keeps dumping it into the big guy over and over again.

I don't care who we play, i guarantee Amare finishes the season averaging over 26 ppg, post Porter firing. Hell now that hes getting more involved in a Offense he thrives in i wouldnt be surprised to see him putting up 28/10 since he also rebounds better when hes motivated.

The guy is only able to play in a run an gun system. No rebounds, no blocks, no D. There are no haters here about Amare. You just like to convince yourself that he is a top 5 player in the NBA.

Amare haters?

Bandwagoners?

lol..

If anything the opposite silly.

Real fans want whats best for the TEAM... if it means letting go of your favourite player to be better.... easily done.

Your favourite player doesnt have to be on your team.

Also, Stoudemire scoring?
What exactly IS NOT KNOWN?

Everyone KNOWS he can score... thats why most want a good deal for him.

I'm still sceptical... looking at T-Mac now... a MAX player always injured.

I just HOPE when the Suns sign him for the max... he doesnt turn out like Gugs, Penny... and other big name stars who degraded significantly due to injuries...

Because its medically advised that Stoudemire will need another surgery on that knee, as long as he plays basketball regularly.

Bandwagoners... lol... the people who follow players.... those are the ones who are bandwagoners....

Zach Randolph IS a 20/10 player...

With little impact. Stats means not much without impact.

Stoudemire is a 26ppg 9 rpg player on a run and gun system... this is expected.

And the Clippers having small forwards playing the "4" doesnt help...

Bottomline, Stoudemire needs to be much better overall to be mentioned in the top 5 players in the league.

Amare is what he is. Some accept it. Others, well

Whine these words if you are an Amare hater: "But he said he wants to be great defensively and he isn't so I'm going to point out how he isn't great everytime someone says something about him. Kevin Garnett would have more rebounds. Kevin Garnett would have altered shots. Kevin Garnett would have not get stupid fouls. Kevin Garnett .........bla bla bla."

Okay Amare did say he wanted to be mentioned with the top tier players like LeBron, Kobe, Tim Duncan and KG. To me that is good thing. It shows he wants to be the best. In reality, he is not there yet, and he may never gets there. What is the point of bashing him so much? He is valuable, he can dominate offensively. If we can get a defensive center that can hit a 15 footer like hmmmm Kurt Thomas maybe Amare won't have to be all NBA defensive team to carry the Suns deep into the playoffs.

What if we had kept Kurt Thomas 8 million and the draft picks that would have been a backup point guard still on their rookie contract, that's a lot less than the 21 million Shaq gets.

This comment says a lot. NBA superstars provide their own motivation. It seperates them from the rest of the pack.

Amare wants to be considered in the elite class. We just need him to be a very good all-around player, rather than a one-trick pony.

I don't understand this logic by some of you. Using this logic, Steve Nash isn't a very good player either right? Horrible defender, been prone to turnovers, etc.

Amare has been playing inspired defense these two games. He has been out on the perimeter, playing good weakside defense, eliminating the silly fouls, etc.

It seems like you guys want Amare to be Dwight Howard, which he is not.

I don't even think it's dwight howard, the thing that killed Amare is that a few fans had some mental masturbation moments because nbadraft.com compared him to Ben Wallace, many fans on this board still love Wallace eventhough he was nothing more than a hack that did roids and had a few decent years. They can't get over it.

Then there are bystanders that sit in the wings looking to take shots from the sidelines. :gun:

Isn't that what we all are on an internet message board?

i'm a big stoudemire fan but i was for trading him the past few weeks. he quit on the team and just looked lazy out there. true superstars are never lazy.

comparing him and nash on defense can't be done in my opinion. amare actually has a lot of atheletic ability to be able to defend. nash, very little of raw athleticism in terms of basketball. you can see nash trying but he just can't guard the quick guards. amare is one of the quicker power forwards in the league and should be able to stop the slower ones.

hold on to amare until the offseason and then explore if anything good is out there.

Amare suddenly looked terrible in porters system, his offensive PER dropped 11 units over the summer. The spacing they were getting sucked, and they allowed the defense to get set all too often. All good defenses want to defend as much as possible late in the clock, duh. Of course there were plenty of band waggoners(a different kind) that strongly opined that amare was just not very good. Shame on those who thought Porters(a totallly unproven coach) results indicated a decline in amares skills. He is what he is, maybe a top 5 offensive talent when used properly, and a mediocre defender. Apparently nash doesnt look as "old" and washed up under Gentry and neither does amare or many of the other suns. I dont know about "haters", kind of a strong word. But I would call them player band waggoners. They vascillate in their thinking too much to even be objective.

The best part about Amare is that, in the last 2 games, he hasn't been taking any jump shots!! Didn't even attempt one yesterday

Nash isn't really slow. He is getting slow because he's old, but he's a pretty quick and athletic guy. I think you are confusing "raw athleticism" with "skin color".

People don't "hate" Amare. They hate he doesn't player both sides of the court. Most of the so called "haters" were not hating on Amare for his offense. Some of you people are killing me. I like how some of you are playing that off. So, in the new offense Amare will score like the old Amare. So what? You are completely missing the point.

People were "hating" on Amare for mostly his defense and rebounding inconsistency. Let's see Amare do those 2 things consistently before you ask "where are you". Because I think most of us are right here front and center.

PS. For clarification. I don't hate Amare, I just hate 2 aspects of his game.
