Offseason in three or fewer words: Stop the slide

The Cardinals need to figure out how to avoid another second-half collapse next season, so that should be the primary focus of their offseason. If that means tearing everything philosophically down to the studs and rebuilding, so be it. If that means trashing every offseason, preseason and weekly plan to start fresh with new ones, so be it. Besides free agency and the draft, the Cardinals' focus should be on nothing but figuring out how to play a full season of competitive football, which would allow them to play deep into the playoffs. WAY too kind. Until we rebuild BOTH lines, the CB & WR positions, the best is somewhere around 15.

But let's run him outta town because he cant win games with washed up AJ Green as his WR1. Nevermind that no QB in the world can, the Bengals were 4-11 last year when they tried it.

Re: Lines: rebuild and fortified are two different things, and fortify is the likely approach.

last three years, independent outsiders looked at the Cardinal roster and predicted the wins from that roster (and put their money behind it). The last two years, the win total outperformed what the roster implied.

You’re presuming the prediction was based solely on roster and not including coaching and that the + was solely attributed to coaching and not players outperforming their individual projections.

do you think the roster was under rated the last two years, or, the coaching staff?

Personally? I think the projections were off this year. And I think when you’re talking about 1-2 game difference the margin of error in those projections accounts for the +’s the cards had. Projecting records on a 17 game season accurately is a fools errand imo. It has to have a margin of error of +2/-2.
