It's a small sample size but I'd say Beal's stock has increased over the last week. He's shown an adaptability, leadership, sacrifice, and that he still has it. He'll need to keep it up but if he can then I have zero doubt we can find a taker by the end of the month.

I think the biggest issue is his availability.

Next his fit when he starts the game with Jones and Booker.

I agree with you but some of these star players have a big ego.

To them coming off the bench is a demotion. Look at Dirk, Kobe, Nash and such. Before they retired they could have played a couple more years coming off the bench, less minutes and being productive in that role.
With the Diamondbacks we fans wanted Randy Johnson to prolong his career as a closer. His mindset was, "I am a starter. Not a guy who sits around and waits to pitch." Decades later it took for his mindset to change, and he admitted in an interview he should have played longer as a closer. Sometimes it is ego coupled with the mindset you have.
