So what pick did we give them and what pick did they give us? Until we know that, all the speculation in the world isn't going to change anything. Have a little patience before you start the lynching.

Patience? We got fleeced. We pay his salary carry his dead cap space. and don't even garner a pick in return just a swap. WOOPTY DOO!

So, anywho, how did the Cardinals send a conditional pick? How is that one conditional? How would the Pitt pick and the AZ pick be conditional?

And how is the thread title wrong?

I know as much about it as you do. The difference being I will wait until I know what transpired before I react.

40 we know what transpired. We know we SWAPPED picks. Anyone thinking we got some great jump in the draft in return is clearly being delusional.

Then don't respond. Move along if you don't think it is worth discussing.

EDIT:

I was right.

I didn't say that. Discuss it all you want. My comment was the fact that some of the posts are based on pure speculation. I just think it's silly to do that.

So you'd be happier if we just got Brown back and continued to play him?

Yep. Because as much as a wreck as he is Im about 100% certain he's better than Sowell.

Overreaction at its finest. Thats what Cards fans do I guess. The people on here complaining would have been just fine if we outright cut Levi. But since we swapped conditional picks its "the sky is falling".

And that is where your so-far-so-good logic sinks.

He is not better than much of anything, thus he was going to be cut (reading between the lines of the BASK presser) or traded in any way, shape or form. They didn't want him starting, and he wasn't part of their future plans, so they didn't want him on the bench.

I'm 100% certain Sowell will be as good or better in pass pro - or at least not as consistently inconsistent as Levi.

I am thinking that the risk involved in going to Sowell was outweighed by getting a pick back from Pitt. Getting an upgraded pick, notsomuch.

Your prerogative. I'm sure there are a lot of people on here who will disagree with you. One of them being me. Brown was most responsible for us losing the game against the Rams. As far as I'm concerned, he should have been traded after that game.

I'll wait until Sowell has a couple of games under his belt before I pass judgement on him.

This thread is unbelievable. Move away from the freakin' ledge, people. We did the same thing that we did with AJ Jefferson. Gave up a player and a lower pick for a higher one.

And last year with that upgrade from 7 to 6, we got Ellington.

I hear what you are saying, but LT is more important than the 3rd or 4th CB.
