IMO, I don't think BA wanted to trade Levi either, but that doesn't mean he doesn't support Keim in doing so.

Why shouldn't he be pissed? His offense looks like **** and highest drafted o-linemen on the team is actually regressing to the point where he was about to bench Levi! I'd be pissed too.
Ariens had much bigger plans for the offense, and he's pissed he can't develop the scheme like he had intended...
Not sure why people immediately attempt to create a rift between Keim and Ariens... Crazy....

Why doesn't he seem upset and pissed in every other interview this week? Clear difference in his demeanor. Dismiss it all you want but he isn't normal at all during that 8 minute stretch!

Believe what you want... As for me, I'll believe that if Ariens wanted Levi on this team, he'd be here... I guess so he could have benched him this week. #winsneededtostopinsanity

I think there are definite signs of a schism between Keim and Arians. Looks like Keim wanted Levi gone and Arians refused to bench him. With Ryan Williams it's the other way round. Arians wants him gone but Keim's not giving up on his draft pick, so Arians doesn't dress him.

Small sample and speculation maybe, but it looks like the honeymoon is over. Bidwill is distracted right now with the Superbowl and Glendale issues, to reign Keim in.

Nailed it.
It actually makes the Williams situation make sense, which up until this point nobody has been able to justify its utter absurdity.

Even if you guys are on to something (which I doubt) about a schism between BA and Keim, then oh effing well, BA. Keim is the GM. It is his job to make trades and improve the team, head coach be damned. It's nice when they both are on the same page, but "reigning" Keim in isn't something that comes with his job. His job is to make the calls on who the personnel is, and it's BA's job to coach the guys he has. If they have a difference of opinion in the end, it is Keim's call.

That's the way it is supposed to work. Because in the end, if it all goes to hell, you know who the finger points at.

Now, clearly we've all seen that Levi is vomit, so I am not happy thinking that BA is all over Levi being some paragon of awesomeness and wanting to keep him around. Since they have said that he's been shopped since week 1, I can't imagine that BA is happy with him and his crappy production. I have a lot more faith in BA than that; I don't think he's an idiot.

Maybe It's taken BA about, oh, two months to realize what a moron SK is. It's a definite possibility. This could be an epic train wreck.

It's possible that schism exist, but we'll need to see more evidence to be sure. Although it seems SK could be power Trippin' with his new role, for it may be related to the amount of control over personnel the previous HC had and with the way he and Horton were reported to have had it out.

Who knows...

What never works out well is a coach having too much power in the GM office or outright owning that role.

A strong GM is a good model.

Well, our "strong GM" butchered his first coaching hire if all this speculation is true. How could there be such a disconnect over what makes a good starting LT? It is every bit as important for the health of an offense as a QB is. I can only think it was more of an impulse hire, rather than really doing your homework, IF IF IF this is the case.

I doubt the speculation is true, but if it is, I completely side with a GM in that situation. And "all this" speculation is coming from 4 people on this board..not much in the realm of reality.

I don't think BA was happy with Levi either, because BA is not an effing idiot and he has two working eyes watching his QB get murdered and sending help doesn't do the trick.

He sure makes some pretty ignorant statements!

We shouldn't complain. Consider, that we could have traded him to KC and Andy Reid would have gotten a second round pick. We're way ahead of the game.

Paying to get rid of a former first round draft pick? Larry Fitzgerald is now the only first round pick from 2004-2009 still on the team.

3 cut/released or whatever you want to call it.
1 traded for a Bobble Head backup quality QB who is no longer on the team.
1 paid to get rid of him.

As for getting a 4th round pick? Big Deal, only 2 fourth round selections from 2004-2012 are still on the team.

You gotta love Cardinal football.

There's nothing wrong if we got a higher pick than the one we traded away - which is more likely than otherwise.

But we don't know what the terms are and, until we do, all we're doing is making a lot of noise based on what we "think" and not what we know.

So, no more speculation about the Cardinals on a this message board. Got it.

Where the hell do you come off with this shyte? "SK is a moron?" Seriously?? Based upon what? The guy has been in the job less than a season, and somehow you believe he is a moron?? Prior to getting the job and while Graves was on the seat, everyone was pushing for Keim. What has he done to demonstrate he is a moron??
I swear I don't know why I spend time on this board... I'm amazed that, 4 games into their first season together, "fans" are attempting to create a zoo out of the management of the team.
Gotta believe there is some serious PWI going on in this thread...

So were you pissed when Graves was cut loose and SK got the job?
Or, like a few others here, are you just an all-work people assessor who can sum up the worth of someone - via the Internet - in record time?

I don't understand the question. I will say that since was part of the old regime, and a major one, I never really wanted him.

well

He just traded an early first round Tackle that's been to the SB for nothing-
Probably the best olineman on both teams that has been trapped in a flawed scheme by a herd of morons.

We have a herd of ex card players he threw away helping other teams, many in our division- Hoyer winning in Cleveland, Skelton backing up for Niners- Schoefield, ect-

I feel pretty strong that the Steelers punked him- you guys act like LT grow on trees- even back ups are hard to come by.

Was it hindsight when I said it at the time?

I don't know what you said at the time... I do know that the Cards are very fortunate not to have the majority of their fan base be the second-guessing conspiracy crafting hand-wringing type that seem to occupy this board...
If you, at the time, claimed SK would suck as a GM, then I taken my hat off to your consistency. I think you're wrong off (mainly because Smel is in your corner), but at least you, like him are consistent...
