And Michael Floyd benefited from having Carson Palmer at QB instead of Ryan Lindley so I guess we can discount what Floyd did last season. And Calais Campbell had just a bit of influence on Abraham's stats for 2013 so we shouldn't be heaping so much praise on Big John for his sacks either. It never fails that when people start praising an NFL player other fans will try to belittle his accomplishments by saying it was because of who he was playing next to on the field.
Floyd did benefit from Palmer and Abraham did Benefit from Campbell. Palmer benefited from having Ellington in the backfield. Put Brinkley next to LOS and he doesn't have the year he had. Its a team game and teammates benefit from having certain players next to them.
That said you can pretty much say its a safe bet that Dansby will see what the market has to offer. I read an article the other day that was about what its like for a player to get the cut call. The one thing the player said is that Home Team Discount is a fantasy.
Better players take more advantage of their situation than lesser players. Paris Lenon played 16 games next to DWash in 2012 and he didn't have near the kind of season Dansby did in 2013 for instance.
Lenon 2 sacks, 1 interception, 3 pdf's, and 73 tackles
Dansby 6.5 sacks, 4 interceptions, 19 pdf's and 113 tackles.
According to the logic of some posters on here Floyd shouldn't get paid any real money when his time comes no matter how successful he is because he got to play opposite Larry Fitzgerald.
DWash benefited from having Dansby next to him and Dansby from having DWash but that doesn't take away in the least from the fine season they both had in 2013.
