This thread is depressing. I am about shaking up the non core players (Upton, Reynolds, Haren, and maybe Montero) but I think its early to get reid of Hinch or Byrnes. This team was poorly constructed but they should be better then this. Byrnes hasn't put enough value on the bullpen and its killing the team and its morale.

11 runs on 13 hits... 3 more dingers and 13 MORE strikeouts... incredible. It's all or nothing with this team.
Young went hitless in a game when my grandma wouldn't gotten a hit. Hope it's not the beginning of the coming swoon...

And, we actually got a full inning of no-hit, no-walk pitching from our pen... Carlos Rosa! You ROCK!!!!!!!!!

:D
And he had the only RBI in a pathetic offensive effort. :D

Agree with you 100x on Stottlemeyer...

This season is just beyond depressing, mainly because this is my favorite pro team in Arizona. I'm taking a whole lot of **** from everyone, as I'm sure some of you are, and wow...every loss is more painful than the last. Maybe because it's yet another day that they haven't done anything to turn this around. It's very sad.

Thank God the Suns are on tomorrow night.

82 is pathetically transparent with his CY bashing. I've not seen jack from him about LaRoche, Reynolds (his fantasy boy) nor Kelly Johnson not hitting their way out of a paper bag for the past month. CY is not the problem despite the wet dreams 82 has about his expected "swoon"

I'm the same way, but on the other side of it so I don't blame him for that. CY has been my favorite player since he began here and I do believe this is the type of play he can give us moving forward; not what he showed last season.

New faces, same results.

Saul Rivera in his first apperrance with the Diamondbacks gives up two homeruns, five runs, four hits and two walks.... I wonder how hot Mel's seat is right now...

I haven't said anywhere this year that CY is "the problem". Clearly, he is not as THE problem is a bunch of morons in the pen...
However, I still contend that CY is not someone I would want on my team long-term. I would have been seeking a trade by now in an attempt to bolster the pen. But that's me.
He's now down to .276 with another 0-fer today. He's trade-ability is dwindling by the day so this is most likely a dead issue... :bang:

Ian Kennedy is pitching another good game as the Diamondbacks lead 7-1 in the 8th. Upton, Drew and Snyder have homered.

Johnson hits a 2-run homer and it's now 10-1 in the bottom of the8th. Is a 9 run lead big enough for the bullpen?

Diamondbacks are teeing off on former Diamondback Medders as LaRoche goes yard for his 2nd homer of the game. It's 13-1 at the end of the 8th with Qualls coming in. I don't think Chad can blow this one.

CoJack scores on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 8th to put the Diamondbacks up 8-7. Qualls is coming in to pitch the 9th.

Sutton was wrong, Heilman is staying in to pitch the 9th.
