Diamondbacks win second game in a row as they beat the Rockies 4-3. Willis pitched six scoreless innings but he was kind of wild. He walked four batters and escaped a couple of jams.

Yeah, but he sure knows how to run the bases and slide home.

His presence and personality is already a catalyst. We'll see how much.

I guess someone just put a page into Hinch's training manual that it's OK for position players to steal bases in the NL. :)

If someone can find a way to calm some of Willis' wild pitches, he will be very good in the rotations. His stuff is still there when the pitches are on. The problem is he is throwing WAY too many pitches, he was over 100 by the time he was done I think, in only 6 innings.

Diamondbacks win on an inside-the-park home run by Parra. Heyward and McCullem(sp) had a violent collision on Parra's flyball and the ball rolled away from them that enabled Parra to round the bases.

Chris Young hits a walk-off 2-run homer as the Diamondbacks beat the Cardinals 7-5 and take the series. The Diamondbacks led 5-2 in the 9th and Hinch brought in Qualls and once again Qualls could not get it done. This is my biggest beef with Hinch, he keeps using Qualls as a closer. I feel bad for Edwin Jackson because he pitched very well and deserved the win.

Very solid performance by Edwin today, and he gets squat for it. This team has to have set the record for most runs allowed from the 7th inning on... Just incredible... :bang:

So this team is so awful to watch that I missed Young's great performance. It's almost July and he's brought his average back up over the last week......I'm loving it, but it's hard to enjoy with people like Qualls on this team.

Diamondbacks lose 7-5 to Detroit as Qualls takes the loss. I do not understand why Hinch even brings in Qualls in a close game. This is the 14 straight road loss for the Diamondbacks.

Because Hinch in incompetent. Qualls should be kicked off the team and Hinch fired.

The Diamondbacks lose to Max Scherzer and the Tigers 3-1 to end the road trip with a record of 1-5.

I am new to this forum, so bear with me :)

It is starting to seem like Qualls has dirt on someone - how in the world is this man still employed by this organization? I understand about Hinch and his contract, which we all know was a big mistake and joke, but it just makes me shake my head about Qualls (and Reynolds for that matter). :pullhair:

Welcome! Qualls losing the game is almost automatic at this point. I agree 100% that he has overstayed his welcome. I think it should be considered stealing at this point.

That stinks. The team is unwatchable as it stands now. I hope there aren't lingering effects on some of the players after he's canned.

There are lingering effects right now, just as there was under Hinch's comatose predecessor Bob Melvin. How many players in the past few years have succeeded elsewhere after failing here or failed here after succeeding elsewhere?

Losing 14 games on the road is just a "little problem" that happened to us, according to the on-field leader.

And our Pitching Coach, Mel (don't mistake me for Sr.) Stottlemyer, Jr., needs to go, as well.

I can't believe the 2 Crew Cuts, Sutton & Grace) are actually promoting Upton and his .247 BAVG for the All Star game. He's barely the fourth best hitter on our team, certainly not in the National League.

Speaking of Crew Cuts, it's so boring to hear Sutton & Grace bemoaning the Mohican haircuts some of the players have had, because they don't like them, all game long.

Sutton can't even keep track of the count or how many outs there are, let alone concentrate on calling the game.

But he can sure repeat 10 times in a game that he doesn't like Mohicans. Who gives a rusty f**k what he likes? He's getting paid to call the play-by-play. Nothing more, nothing less.

6-0 Diamondbacks after two innings. Free tacos already. Let's see if they can hold the lead.
