Leaving in Cahill, may have been a statement. I have a feeling a lot of things are going to change in the next few weeks. Just a gut feeling. Let's take the rubber game manana.

Would really like to see Ross's bat wake up. Getting bored with his lack of production.
Disappointing series against the giants but hopefully we can get it going against the Dodgers. still one out in the inning anything can happen.
I don't support Gibby's constant batting order changes, as most of you know. But he batted Parra 7th and Didi 8th this time around because a lefty was starting. I am sure that the next time we face a lefty, there will be a totally different batting order.WTF kind of drug was Gibson taking? The starting lineup made absolutely no sense at all, and Gibson leaving Cahill in long enough to ensure a loss for us makes me wonder if he had a bet on the side here (just being sarcastic).
A miserable night, and I think Gibby had much to do with it.
Parra hitting seventh!!! WHAT?????
And, sure enough, Kubel led us with 2 hits. Gibby doesn't seem to be aware of the concept of protecting your best hitter. He not only kept Kubel out of the heart of the order (the RBI positions), but he neutralized Goldy with a .200 hitter behind him.So far Skaggs having trouble throwing his secondary pitches for strikes.
On another note, Kubel (who owns Chad Gaudin) is batting 6th, while Miguel Mendoza bats 4th. Just dumb.
That, too, was Gibson's doing. He demoted Gerardo to 4th outfielder (until the injuries) and the D'backs did not submit his name to the NL for All-Star voting.Brian said:So on the all-star ballot, Adam Eaton is a selection but Parra is not. What a joke.

That is why I don't like seeing a player who played predominantly in the AL managing in the NL. The non-designated hitter league has a different mentality than the Junior Circuit.

I love Miggy but he has no business hitting that high in the lineup.
Montero has to be injured. Has to be... nothing else makes sense anymore.
I wouldn't lump Kubel into the same category as Miggy, Prado and Ross this season. Kubel is playing injured and getting spot starts. If Miggy, Prado, Kubel and Ross don't start hitting, it could get ugly. Of course if Kennedy and Cahill get things straightened out , that would be a huge plus... But I'm not holding my breath...
