Are you referring to me? If you are, your statement should be attached to a quote since you are addressing and asking a question to a specific person, no?

I mean, since you like to get technical and all.

I wasn't referring to anyone specifically. Just a few people are comparing a harmless and personal bet to steroids, drugs and/or pornography.

I live in the Midwest and there is no news about this. Eventually, it will be viewed as funny and free-spirited. This is a NFL news quagmire time of year...these sportswriters are grasping at anything. I can't believe that AZ. news is concerned with this considering the immigration law problems you are having. DD taking a bet to show less than we saw of Shiancoe on live TV and a political nightmare immigration law. HMMMM...I am only hearing about one in the news.

What?
LOL. I must have been getting Shane and LIAC confused ;)

LOL , I was still trying to recover from seeing what can never be unseen.

I'm kinda amused by this thread. Was he over the top? Maybe but like some I don't see anyone that got hurt so no harm no foul. It is mildly entertaining that since most of us are guys we will flock to a naked female thread in full praise of her but DD goes birthday suit and we see calls for him to be traded.

Here's a little sanity, if you dan't want to see DD in the shower don't go looking for the video! If you do...well, now's your chance I guess. Trust me the pic I saw alone was quite enough for me.

I don't see the NFL suspending him. This is the same NFL that promotes cheerleaders in as little clothing as legally possible in a family environment and if they could get away with it those girls would be wearing much less if anything at all.

Naked people is not the end of the world and if I could have got a thousand bucks you may have got the chance to see me shower this morning.

Apparently I should have quoted your other 5 posts. I meant your making a big deal out of something that a) won't be a big topic come Monday and b) wont lead to a suspension. It had nothing to do with the specific Cushing post (and saying Docketts shower is going to take that off the Monday's front page is laughable at best considering they BOTH will be non issues come Monday, but I digress)

Basically you are all up in arms about something no one will be even remember happened come Tuesday.

Dockett will get pulled to the side and told to quit acting like a bonehead on Twitter and earth will be returned to its axis.

When is everyone going to get that just because someone does something that isn't your cup of tea, doesn't mean its wrong or stupid or worth getting hysterical about. As long as its not hurting anyone at least.

How bout everyone quits projecting their moral compass on the masses???

Dockett might not be the sharpest crayon in the box but this is his personality. Just like DRC likes to wear Dora back packs and Matt likes to hit the beer bong every now and then.

Cheering for a bunch of emotionless devoid of personality robots wouldn't be much fun now would it? Or realistic for that matter.

When it starts effecting football games, feel free to weigh in. But this latest stunt almost surely won't so just relaxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx everybody.

Offseason news......sheesh
First off, I am not projecting my Moral compass, I am projecting my fan compass. At first I chuckled... but then I thought about the professional implications and what could result from his immature actions...

If he is suspended, it will seriously affect the teams ability to win early in the season and that pisses me off.

I could care less what players do in their private lives, but this is a public act and as a result can affect his job.

Again, imagine how your employer would react to you publicly showering in the nude AND it made the news...

Calling DD's actions immature is a projection of your subjective moral compass.

My co-owner wouldn't watch me but he would love to see some of the girls that work for us do this, as would I. JUST SAYING

I beg to differ. Liac is right. It's a immature act for a professional player to expose himself knowing darn well he has to follow certain guidelines that protect the brand he works for. The act of a grown man taking on a bet to expose himself is considered what? A mature act? And if it isn't a immature act, what would you call it?

And DRC wearing a Dora the Explorer backpack is what exactly? Who cares.

Let them be themselves. In any group of 80 people your going to have all different types.

Many would say us with our message board, silly avatars, signatures, and hours we spend thinking about a game is immature. It's all perspective.

Docketts just having some fun. I don't expect my football players to be MENSA members. I want them to knock the snot out of the opposition.

And Dockett sure as hell does that.

A questionable fashion statement that the NFL cares little about. And you are right, I don't care about that.

Let them be themselves. In any group of 80 people your going to have all different types.

Sure you are but how many expose themselves on the web? How many of those 80 people get get to talk to their boss and explain what they did? How many of those guys are having their agent get involved? How many of those are having the franchise make public statements about the situation?

Many would say us with our message board, silly avatars, signatures, and hours we spend thinking about a game is immature. It's all perspective.

Yeah, and if you put up questionable material or say the wrong thing, you will get reprimanded, right? Even if it isn't immature, right? It's all about perspective and the guys that hold the power to decide based on their perspective, determine the punishment. The NFL is no different than here.

Now, spending time on a board has a purpose. Instead of looking for people that share your interests out on the street, you can go to specific place to meet with people that you share a common interest without leaving work or the luxury of your home. And since some of us have never met, the avatar and sigs are an extension of us.

What was DD's purpose to expose himself?

While I agree it was just him having fun, the outcome wasn't funny. Sometimes the best ideas one conjures up never materialize the way they envisioned.
There is a lesson to be learned and for a guy of his stature not realizing the possible consequences is very hard to take.

I'm sorry, we just have to disagree on this.

You guys are right, I think it is time to bring back Le madame guillotine and witch trials.

and for Joe...I call it AN act.

Men...the statue of DAVID by Michelangelo Buonarroti is more offensive than this.

ANYWAY, and my last post...go DD go...I still can't believe people are so offended.

Maybe Darnell was auditioning for the next Dial commercial. For the first time ever I agree with Joe.This all falls under the acts of a player playing behind THE SHIELD.Darnell isn't gonna rewrite the rules.Goodells new rules that don't expand and retract.

I can definately see a visit to New York when DD needs to be lifting weights and running everyday this offseason.Snicker about a 1000.00 bet that should never have been addressed when you make what DD makes.

There are no excuses for what this FSU juvenile mind did.I live miles near a FSU campus.I sure hope Kurt Warner was'nt the only moral compass on this team.I'm sure Whiz has already had his say as DD has said he is taking a vacation from twitter.Hmmm.

Now you can follow Kurt on twitter if you like as he just started.Don't expect any shower scenes though.DD is in the doghouse and he'll probably be on a non-spoken probation.I doubt any game loss time.I just hope he gets his mind focused on the season and what he said about the Whiners once more. The teams working hardest right now win early and late in a long season.Strong muscles can take a beating,if you continue to lift through the season which all players do.

I can see Coach Lott with tons of new material to motivate DD in the weightroom.I'm laughing thinking about it.:D

I agree that it was a childish decision. The team prob advised him to stop. He WILL get a letter or call from the commish. I do not see a suspension coming, but the league could. Having the players of the NFL showering on the net is a bad bad bad image issue...so would I be shocked to see a one game suspension...no.
Docketts one game check isn't worth the one k.
This was dumb on so many levels....surprised the team didn't step in earlier and warn him of the problems.
It was funny....but sometimes dumb and funny go together.

Stop thinking he's a free man who can do as he pleases. He is under contract by the NFL and the Cardinals to behave in a form that builds the league up...

Let's look on the bright side guys

At least it wasn't Alan Branch broadcasting himself on the web. :barf:

Then again, all you would need to offer him to do that is a McDonalds double quarterpounder combo.

Cool, thanks for pointing out AN honest mistake after having to deal with people who rather find grammar inconsistencies than talk about the actual topic. So far, you have managed to explain what others are thinking, play english teacher, and not answer a single question. But you did manage to say you and your co-owner would love to see your female employees doing what DD did...GREAT.

And are you really trying to compare a statue that was created long ago before the "internets" came out? A work of art to a human act in a different age where the norms and values weren't the same? Where the intentions aren't the same? Where one is a creation and another is a personal act?

Have you not figured out that it isn't about what is more offensive but what that act can do to this team based on the league conduct rules? For a guy who likes correcting people, I am surprised a simple concept like that flew right past you. But then again, when you are more concerned about other things when you post, I can see how easily that can happen.

carry on...

A is a human actwork of art to a human act in a different age where the norms and values weren't the same? Where the the David was created to show the supremacy of the contemporary abilities in comparison to antiquity intentions aren't the same? Where one is a still an actcreation and another is a personal act?

Not even going to try to decipher this mess of an argument. Where have you stated a factual argument based on a factual conduct policy infraction? Where is it stated that this is an infraction? I own a HOOTERS, what do you expect.

It is A honest mistake, no problem.

I know, the Renaissance was exiting the medieval age of absolutism and mores based on a hypocritical and oppressive ideology and attempting to usher in humanism. We live in a free society and I will push for freedom to be expressed and appreciated whether you like it or not.

We simply have differing viewpoints. Both are engaged in our own subjective interpretation of what moral codes we wish to accept. No problem, I appreciate your right to disagree with me. Read some Kant and Locke, great for understanding how to create a logical argument.

P.S. I don't own a HOOTERS...I am an artist and I study the nude extensively and find it to be quite beautiful. No, I don't want to have *** with the models but I do appreciate what it is. By the way, if you were aware of contemporary art you would realize that our contemporary scene is much more vulgar than the DAVID or the Farnese marbles or what DD did.

If DD gets suspended...I will write Goodell a letter and voice my disapproval. Nothing else I can do.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CARDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

People are really upset by this? Hell I would do it if one of my friends bet me $1,000. DD is just having a good time, he doesn't cause problems with the team, and he enjoys what he has been given in life. We are really going to throw a fit over that? Man, we must be complacent in how good we have it in AZ now.

If they suspend DD then the NFL needs to ban woman from the locker room. The are used to exposing themselves to female reporters, so I could see why one might think its no big deal to do it somewhere else. :safe:

I think the answer to that is no one knows because I doubt any of us actually went to watch.
