3 assistant coaches were let go with Watson, Nate Bjorkgren, Mehmet Okur and Jason Fraser. So we still got Corbin but we're in position of needing another big man coach with Okur being let go. I know I mentioned the lack of having a big man coach not long ago, during preseason, and someone mentioned we had Okur who was kind of a bigs coach but now we don't have that.

Apparently Okur bought into Watson's shtick more than anyone. He made a post on Instagram after the news came out...

"Family first Other little s... and MFS comes and goes in my life ✌️F... em I am out for now y'all ☝️ see y'all down the road "

If only he had taught with that passion maybe Chriss and Bender wouldn't be so bad right now.

Mehmeh's obviously millennial aged if you go by his twatter language and use of emojis. Is he 40 yet?

Good that we're cleaning house. Now find and pay a proven coach. Don't be cheap. Perhaps McD should be demoted. I'm undecided. He's so much better than his predecessors and college talent evaluation is kind of random.

Let McD continue through the season, we have James Jones in here now and I expect his role will be expanded with the latest happenings. I imagine him and McD will be working together more and more moving forward. It wouldn't surprise me if Sarver is just waiting for Jones to get more experience before letting him take over McD's job. He was brought in to help with the basketball side of things and he's rarely been mentioned with all of the talk of the Watson firing but I'm sure he's doing a lot behind the scenes right now to help this team moving forward. Everybody is acting as if McD is the only person calling any shots when that's not true, the Watson firing came from Sarver, I'm sure McD was fine with it, but like I said, Jones was brought in to be the VP of Basketball Relations this offseason and will be playing a part in all moves going forward. Hopefully he lives up to the hype because I know his BB-IQ was highly praised by everyone when the signing was announced.

This coaching staff obviously lost the players. I hate this kind of turmoil, but the last three games made it clear that Watson had to go. You cannot start a season with that kind of depression.

I am not convinced McD needs to go. He has done decently with trades and OK with drafts as well. His coaching hires have not been good though. I think Watson was originally hired as a gimmick to influence LMA to come here as a free agent. Then he was moved up when Horny was let go.

Its time to hire a head coach who has "presidential" presence.

At this point I don't care who they let go, I am even ok with trading any of the players on this team.

Talk about a horrible sports moment in Phoenix. This is it. With the Cards and Suns. Wow.

Yesterday was indeed a crazy day. The Cardinals looked terrible and the Suns were already terrible.

Agreed, but Sarver isn't going away unless he sells. McD has made quite a few missteps.

I actually do agree with you for the most part. McD has made some bad moves. But he's made plenty that most of us thought were great moves. And he's finally got a "young and upcoming" roster that most everyone here and on other boards wanted to see. Unfortunately we're seeing what happens when teams are purposely bad. Chemistry issues. And possibly players that never actually develop because they're in a terrible environment.

I'm not the biggest McD fan but I'm at the point where I hope they at least let him finish it out over the next few years. Us fans have suffered too much to have another regime come in here and blow it up once again. HIRE A REAL COACH WITH EXPERIENCE and let's see where this train takes us. I really don't want Sarver to go into Hedo and Warrick mode again.

Yep we have to atleast see what we have in this group of players. Get coaches who can bring everyone to their full potential and see where the chips fall. Then assess the roster. This will either prove McD is doing his part or not, then summer of 2018 McD might need to have a meeting with Sarver as well.

Suspicious? Does it take that much effort to get the players to play as a team. And I'm not talking about wins and losses.

The players were not buying into what was going on. How much worse does it have to get?

Just got an alert that the Suns met with Bledsoe and sent him home yesterday--not playing tonight.

Please let a trade be in the works.
I don't see a Ulis/Mike James pg rotation as that much different that Bledsoe/Ulis or Bledsoe/James.

Bledsoe can be better. He is just not "in it" here any more.

BTW. This is the danger of tanking. Players get discouraged and disinterested. It gets you picks, but overall, its horrible for morale.

Sitting a healthy Bledsoe last year has led to this.

I personally wonder how many guys are attitude wise, one step behind Bledsoe. Hopefully no one else, but that might be wishful thinking.

Bledsoe might not be the only one traded. It might be too early in the season for a straight player for pick, they have to sell tickets and get tv viewership.

I can see us trading Bledsoe for a pick and a player, or being combined in a larger package maybe including guys like Chandler or Chriss, for someone else. But I think this would be harder to do.

I can see us maybe trading Bledsoe for a pick, and someone like Chandler for a backup PG that's underused.

Again, maybe we trade someone else who might also be disgruntled.

Of course this is all just complete speculation.

This is the flipside of the coin although I think trading Bledsoe is the right move.

Also the players that just signed over the summer can't be traded yet. I still think the Sun's are looking to get Russell from Brooklyn, but at the end of the year.
