Let's face it. We still need players. A true cover corner with speed. A solid left tackle. A solid right tackle. A solid center. Another solid linebacker. Management needs to find these players and use the cap money to sign them.

Moves that need to be made, Big to left gaurd, Rolle to safety.

Coaches and players need to put in more work to eliminate lapses in judgement. Everyone needs to know what they need to do. This shouldn't be a figure it out as we go type of thing. Mental discipline is a key component to a winning season.

It still can be explained why we were so slow at then and especially the rushed field goal kick. For some reason I was yelling hurry up, hurry up the play before than Spike it!!! Spike it!!! because I almost knew the coaches weren't going to tell the players to do that. Why?! I would think a highschool coach could do that....

Relax its one game I mean the Rams lost to the 49ers should they fire their head coach no cause its only week 2 of the season. But if the cardinals do finish below 8-8 they do need to start looking for a new head coach but I say we got to let Dennis Green finish this year and see how things pan out.

Nice work gentlemen. :D

Agreed. This is rediculous. It's one loss, by only 2 scores, to a team that was just in the Super Bowl.

Does the offensive line suck? Yeah, like a 3-dollar *****. But we're improving and there were a lot of other positives out there today.

Like for instance, we know for a fact that Adrian Wilson is a linebacker. He's a fool in coverage. Nice penalty on 3rd and 12 to keep Seattle's first drive going, you *******.

2nd, Edgerrin James looks about ready to lose it on these linemen. There's no way when you pull the backside guard and tackle that you should have a halfback blown up in the backfield. That's absolutely unacceptable. I'm waiting for the James media meltdown where he just crucifies the OL publicly. I think they need that.

3rd point, not necessarily a positive, but someone really needs to tell Kurt Warner he's not playing basketball, and it's NOT okay to dribble. My god, is that Kurt Warner or Dan Majerle out there? What's with the fumbles, Kurt?!?!! :bang:

I did see Leonard Davis get a pancake today. So, he at least had 1 good play

I'm gonna go cry in my cereal now.

LOL,

We all know Green finishes this year baring some Buddy Ryan moment, the question is to me, exactly what does Green bring to this team?

Well he's brought in a lot of talent, more talent than we've had in decades so that's great.

That's no small feat, no other coach has done that in 20 + years, if ever so he gets a big :clapping: for that.

Now look back three years, losses and wins and tell me where you felt he outcoached the other coach?

There in lies the problem IMO.

I can't believe i wasted my time reading this ignorant thread. I think Jon Gruden and John Fox should also be let go.They were both playoff contenders and are 0-2. Throw Joe Gibbs in there also. The Cards are going to be in the playoffs this year. They just went into the loudest, hardest stadium tp play in in the NFC and basically kicked their asses for 3 quarters. What did Seattle do after their first 2 drives, NOTHING. People want to complain about the FG before the half. You really don't think teams practice a hurry up FG ? They got the kick off with 3 seconds left. Rackers just missed it. It was a 54 yard attempt. I know it's hard to believe but thos egte missed sometimes. The cards main mistake was the passive defensive play to start the game. After that, they outplayed Seattle.Yet people are calling for the coaches job. I always say the stupidity of people never ceases to amaze me.

I won't even refer to him as coach. Because he sure as hell is not that.

His record was padded in Minnesota. Chicago, Detroit and Green Bay made up for a lot of his victories and were bad teams. Green is overrated. Actually, he is a joke of a coach. But the coaching fraternity that exists will keep so many from acknowledging that.
It's amazing how padded his victories are there (by the way, Tampa Bay was in the division as well). I mean while fully half of his games were within the division, only half of his victories were within the division. Wait, that actually would be expected.

Okay, so why is he a joke of a coach?

We could have won the game, raise your expectations, if we have the talent to hang with them then given the breaks we got we have the talent to beat them and the fact we didn't goes to coaching.

You think NE would have lost given the amount of chances we got?

You think any of the top teams given that many chances wouldn't have pulled closer than we did?

You are confusing talent with coaching, the talent is there, the coaching was horrible.

I never said Green should be fired now, he shouldn't, I think what we are saying is that this same crap haunts him all the time, poor discipline, poor game mangement, poor execution.

When a coach takes over a team the only thing he can change immediately is the discipline of the team, our team looks like the same sad sack craptastic bunch we've all know for years, tobin, Mac or Green, same crap different game.

If Green were the coach you all make him out to be he would of fixed that by now.

New Engalnd almost blew a 24-0 lead to the Jets. The New York Jets where it's not inconceivable that one of us could be their starting RB. I don't think there's any comparison that the team is a ton better than the Mac/ Tobin years. Sure, we may have led the league in fewest penalty yards back then but we also led the league in getting blown out of games too. But we had good character guys :clapping: .

So far we managed to barely hang onto win against the 49ers at home and through a comedy of mutual errors did not get blown out at Seatle.

This makes you happy?

Wow, I wish all my customers were that easy to please I'd be retired by now.

your expectations are out of whack then. they are 1-1 after 2 games. They were clearly a better team than SF and not as good a team as the seahawks. What is so hard to understand about that?

Look who cares if we are 2-0 or 0-2, yes I'm happy with the record for the billionth time, it isn't about that.

Sooner or later if this stuff continues we are going to do what we always do and lose a game we should win, then it really hurts.

The reasons we didn't fare better in this game have been an ongoing project for all of Green's three years here, that it's still an issue is unaccpetable to me.

I'm starting to wonder aloud if Dennis Green has any input as to what goes on the field during a game. It's almost like he just hides behind the coaches and only worries about the draft and personel he puts on the field and lets the coaches sort it out

Denny gets the credit for the 15-1 season he had in Minnesota but his coaches that lead that team went on to bigger and better things with other teams and have had success while Denny has not.

Denny is the master insulator. I have read here he does not game plan offensively...for HIS offensive system. I have heard he does not call any offensive plays during the game...for HIS offensive system.

While the defensive system appears bastardized now, it is still, in some small part HIS defensive system.

I have heard him say that during the week he works with the scout team during practice. Makes for great press but when your 1st and 2nd teams are mediocre AT BEST right now, well one would think he would be front and center game planning the entire game and letting the scout team do their thing.

It is always someone elses fault when it comes to Denny...OL coaches, coordinators, racist local media, injuries, incompetent front office typeset al yet I am not sure Denny ever looks in the mirror for his teams faults.

Denny sets up everyone else for the fall and he comes out smelling good with his guaranteed gig at ESPN when he leaves.

Sooner or later you'll get them out yourself, I'm not saying to fire the guy now, I'm just saying like a lot of coaches in the NFL, either this ends in a SB win followed by him leaving on his own or it ends with him getting canned.

Some of us feel that it's going to drag on a few years without a SB before it comes to that and we see that as a waste of time.

He could just win convincingly now and help make your point but that's up to his team.

I have my issues with Green's coaching as well, but to say we should fire him now is absolutely ridiculous. For starters, who the hell would be the coach? Pendergast is massively overrated by this board, his side of the ball makes the same bonehead mistakes the offense does yet he gets way with it for whatever reason. The offensive coaching is obviously a problem as well, doubt if there any diamonds in the rough over there that could handle HC duties.

Green will coach out the rest of the year - if we're not 8-8 then he'll likely be fired and all of you guys (myself included should we not go at least .500) can get your wish. Let's also remember that firing him right now would probably prevent any good coach from ever agreeing to sign here and we'd end up with some scrub like Rod Marinelli in Detroit after they unceremoniously dumped Mooch. No coach worth a damn is going to take over a crapheap franchise and only get two years to turn things around.
