The only bad thing I could see was the preview for next week--and it was the tagline, "Protect the cheerleader, Save the world". I've never heard much that is more cheesy than that. I hope it doesn't end up going that way. It's even cheesier because the announcer sounded completely serious.

Wonder what it was like reading that copy in the voiceover booth?

Producer: Here you go, just say these couple lines for the tv preview.
Narrator: ......... Are you *$#%#!@ kidding me???

Nice episode. Hiro suprised me at the end because I was totally expecting Syler and wanted to see Peter use his power harnessing power on that badass.

Cheerleader dad is one jacked up sonofa....

Liking EvilAli as well....

How is Peter going to get his scar?

They opened up a crazy big plotline with FutureHiro in the subway. I hope they continue to get better, because Heroes has me hooked.

I have to agree, I am totally loving this show...however, as far as comparing it to the best shows on TV, like Lost, etc, I don't think it does...yet.

The reason being...the character development on Lost is just so much better. There are characters on Hero's that I just don't care that much about really...and some don't seem to be the best actors...where Lost's cast is about as top-notch as you can get.

Saying that, I freaking LOVE the story, the plot, the surprises and Hiro. The surprise ending was seriously sweet. He obviously has a ninja sword and perfect English, so we know he comes from WAY in the future, even past the whole explosion on November 7th (whenever it is).

What's also cool about this show is the way some of the hero's use their powers...not always for good...the cheerleader for instance.

Anyways..I love it, and am always looking forward to it.

Then again, this is what... the 4th episode? Nobody knew by the 4th episode of Lost that it would be such a huge show.

I dunno, I thought I did...I remember liking the major characters right off the bat..

But you might be right.

I think people knew it would be good, but I remember thinking that there needed to be a much bigger story--I remember asking myself if a show about people on a deserted island could sustain a whole season. I got my answer, but not this early.

I just remember being hooked after the first show...like big time hooked.

Hero's didn't hook me until the very end of the episode...when you found out there is a larger plot at work.

I think Lost hooked me midway through, when the trees started crashing out in the jungle...

Lost's premiere was what, 12 million dollars? That was one of the best premieres I've ever seen for a new show. Lost is something very different, and very special.

Heroes is the closest thing to Lost that has come out yet.

Who says he is coming from the future? Why could he not go back in time to do all his learning. Heck if I had time travel abilities and wanted to learn good use of a Ninja sword, I'd go back to China in the 16th century and learn from the real masters.

Because he told the guy who flies (possibly) that he looks different without the scar.

Obviously...from the future.

Yep from the future.

And the guy can fly, or bend the time space continuum, or be unbreakable, or read minds, or whatever as long as he is near another person with powers.

I thought it was that he had to have physical CONTACT with another person to have their powers, kind of the opposite of Rogue... ;)

I think the subway incident with Hiro should clear that up, right? Hiro wasn't touching him. Unless he's perfected his powers in the future to stop only what he wants.

But other than that, you are correct my dear Watson.

This is known already? Or your guess?

He admitted to it while speaking with the Indian Professor X. Or at least it was his speculation after realizing he saw the future when he was with the artist and that he flew when with his brother.

And as clarified by Chaplin, this likely only occurs when he's in physical contact with another "super".

he was not touching his brother when he was floating off the edge of the building, I thought it was just within a certain distance...

Wow, what a lame power to have :)

kidding...but man, that would suck after awhile...if you were flying...

Wait though...they show a preview of him later...next week maybe, where it shows him flying into the air...

Maybe that's not him? I dunno

Also, Hiro said, "I'm from the future". That kinda gave it away. ;)

What if he needs to touch the person, but after that he is endowed with those powers? So now he can fly and draw the future?

How about the fact that he looks about 10 years older?

I was hooked on lost right off the bat. I believe it was the second episode where we saw that Locke was in a wheelchair up until the crash. I don't think anyone saw that one coming. The thing I love about Lost and now many other shows is that they look and feel like movies. Lost is just add another level because the acting is almost always so great.

This one is definitely growing on me though. I'm probably looking forward to the next episode of Heroes as much as the next episode of Lost.
