I think I look forward to this show more than any other on TV right now including (I can't believe I'm about to say this) Lost. 30 minutes into the season I did not think I was going to make it to the next episode. The Japanese guys kept me watching, and I'm glad they did. I really like the show.

Joe

I haven't ever seen Lost (gasp!), and I'm glad I haven't....don't want to be too much of a slave to the t.v....but I practically count down to the next episode of Heroes....(2 days, btw!!!) :)

I don't recall ever being addicted to a show like this--ever. I was really into Buffy & Angel, but that really didn't take hold until after Buffy was over, and my daughter/husband had bought the seasons on dvd. I almost never got to watch Angel because I had other obligations on Weds. nights. I actually plan my time around the show...never have done that before.

If you love Heroes, you'd love Lost.

Lost and Heroes are very similar though, with Heroes a step or so under Lost. But Heroes is fantastic in its own right...just not Lost-esque yet.

I was at my parents' house last night, and a commercial for Heroes came on, and I told them AGAIN that they should be watching this show. Both of them went off about how they just did watch an episode, and how incredibly stupid it was, acting was bad, script was bad, etc. I disowned them on the spot. I'm going to miss my folks....losers.

I think the story is what is good about the show, a lot of the acting is a little poor, I too told someone to give it a shot. They watched the last one, thought much like your parents, and... They did not even understand the story line or what was going on, throw in the "Save the cheerleader, save the world" horrendous tagline and there is another guy who won't be watching this show again...

which if you go to the website that line plays as it loads...

yeah, I told my folks that they can't watch the 3rd episode (which is what I think they saw, given some of the things they said...maybe 2nd episode), and expect to understand it all--oh, well. Their loss. Let them watch their stupid "24"....

Yeah. That scene with him walking the biologicals to the car was pretty interesting. And the conversation between Claire and her mom about the problem had when Claire was a baby.

Next week should be pretty interesting.

This week they decided to focus on a few characters...which is fine. Looks like I was dead on about Mohinder's neighbor as well. =)

DL was a much more interesting character than I initially gave him credit for. He is really the victim in the marriage, not Nikki. It will be interesting to see if he ends up on the villian side of things. Right now I wouldn't be so sure.

I'm still unsure if she's good or bad...obviously she's violent and kills, but is she doing it for good reasons?

It's unclear to me.

She's definitely a difficult character to figure out. I keep thinking about the voice over that talked about how morality sometimes doesn't matter as a thing develops or something like that. What does that have to do with her character, if anything?

Good call on the neighbor Chris.

I think Nikki is the bad one and DL will be on the 'good' side. She seems to be a product of the cheerleader's dad. When she is the "bad Nikki" she has the symbol on her shoulder. The same symbol the other guy has on his necklace.

Also she is already kind of aligned with Nathan who I think is going to be a bad guy.

Love that they made DL into a "good" guy. It was definitely not what most expected.

And can I just say that the Japanese guys are still some of the best characters on television so far this year?

Just watched the episode (was at my parents for a Halloween party--okay, I didn't REALLY disown them) so I'm glad I have DVR. Anyway--good call, Chris. As soon as you said it, I thought you might be right. Another solid episode--but DAMN they're getting carried away w/commercials (or so it seems). I think I'm going to like DL. He seems cool. Feel bad for the boy, though. I wonder what his powers are going to be--he has to have something if both of his parents do...

I'm hoping DL killed the "bad" Nikki by internally choking the life out of her!

:) Yeah, I know. BUT, he was able to stop her, so if she can get him to understand & believe what is going on, then together he can help control her, at least.

I don't think that's gonna happen. Even if Niki understands and believe swhat's going on, I doubt she's strong enough to get her double/alter ego/whatever to cooperate, even with her husband's help.

That chick is evil. Killing someone is one thing, but ripping them to shreds is quite another. :p

And we still have no idea who Sylar is. I wonder if people still think Claire's dad is Sylar. Or maybe the neighbor is Sylar.

In fact, has Sylar even been mentioned in the past couple episodes?

I know it wasn't in this one--and if it was last week, it was very briefly. I still think Sylar is an entity, not a person.

Sylar has been in the last two episodes...in the picture where the cheerleader's head has been cut open.
