Why did Nathan lie to Peter about the painting? From the phone conversation with Lunderman it sounds like the painting will be shipped back to the art gallery, but then Nathan tells Peter that Lunderman won't let go of it... did I misunderstand?

My understanding is that Nathan said he got it for Peter since Peter covered for his indiscretion.

I watched that section again.

Nathan says "Yes, directly to the gallery. Thank you Mr. Linderman."

It sounds to me like he got the painting sent back to the gallery but is just not telling his brother.


What I want to know is why doesn't Simone have a photo of the painting (for a catalog or record keeping) or why doesn't he just ask Linderman for a picture of it?
Does Peter really need the painting itself of does he just need to see the image?

This was a FANTASTIC episode. I was literally out of my seat begging for Hiro to go back in time and save the girl with the perfect memory. They could do a whole episode just on that and I would be happy.
