Another solid episode--but DAMN they're getting carried away w/commercials (or so it seems).

Agree on both counts... I always wonder if it is that I am so into the show that it just seems like they are running more commercials or if indeed there are more... The Friday Night Lights commercial in the final segment seemed like it was near 5 minutes long, alone. I will have to watch again on the DVR and see if the actual show play time has decreased.

I love, love, love Heroes (and Hiro).

I thought this was a great episode and actually had a lot going on. You got to really understand Ali's duality of one a lot more, and DL was completely introduced. Mohindar's neighbor is a mole, Cheerleader's Dad is more evil than originally thought. There was a ton to this episode...it was more Lost-like than others.

Only one thing I dislike about this show, and it is the actor who plays Mohindar...he's not very good, even in voiceover. A few times he makes me cringe...they need a much stronger actor for that role since he ties everyone together in the total story with voice intros and outs. But I deal with it because the rest of the show is good.

agree about mohinder. also, the neighbor needs to lose the girly voice when she goes into evil mole mode, otherwise she's unbearable.

was it just me (and maybe i'm an idiot and this was obvious), but did it seem like the dad paid two people to pretend to be the cheerleader's real parents? something about the way he talked to them when he walked them to the car.

Or maybe the neighbor is Sylar.

I was think that too, but didn't we hear a male voice on the Dr's voice mail. He could change form and then that would mean that Mohinder made out with a guy.

I thought it was obvious, but maybe I just read too much into it... I am pretty darned sure that was the message they were sending...

I like Mohinder just fine, actually. Can't stand the neighbor. And yes, I think it was supposed to be obvious.

agree about mohinder.

His acting in the first five minutes of the pilot scared me...I recall saying that the show started out feeling like a very bad Charlie Chan movie.

Thankfully, he has both gotten better and the rest of the cast picks up his slack.

Officer Agent Weiss better make his appearance again soon, BTW.

Sean Bean rocks!

That is awesome.

Weird that he'd go to TV...

He had a very cool pilot called Faceless in development for Fox. Cast options were extended through the end of this year, but I guess if he's working on Heroes it's dead in the water. I was hoping to see it midseason.

I actually think Mohindar is fine - don't really notice him being any worse then most the rest of the actors.

Hiro and his buddy are the best at this point.

It appears biological parents were either paid or work for the evil dad.

Question: Is this a show that builds on each episode, such as Lost, or is each episode its own story? I’ve been DVRing them, but I haven’t watched any yet.

Definitely start watching, Bada. Don't fall behind like with Lost. :)

Bada, watch them in order...it is kinda serial in concept but you could pick it up. I think the magic in it is watching it ep by ep....there are some storylines that are slow drawn out and the experience is in watching them develop, similar to Lost. And yah, it builds each episode.

Watch your DVR episodes...then join us on this thread. It's Lost-Lite, IMO. You'll dig it if you can get past Mohindar's bad acting (in my opinion...others disagree.) But yeah...it isn't the type of show you want to pick up with no previous knowledge mid-season.

That's pretty funny. I’m experiencing withdrawal symptoms waiting for the next Lost episode, after watching 51 episodes over a short period of time. I think I’ll give this one shot.
