So he'd get stuck there & not be able to help the cheerleader, perhaps? One other thing: I think that Sylar counted on Hiro going back in time. If Sylar really was after people with these powers, why did he kill the girl, and not the one with the biggest power (Hiro)? IMO, it was because for some reason he KNEW that Hiro was going to go back in time to save her--i.e. not let her come into work that day. WHY is the real question now.
This is a great show, but they are in danger of drowning under the weight of its characters. It's going to get boring if there is a new Hero every single week. Hopefully they will stop introducing new characters and expand the ones they already have going strong.

I think my big letdown was because the radio commercials for this week's episode led me to believe that more would have happened than what did.
i see Hiro as a facilator to gathering those people with superpowers together. by allowing Hiro to gather them together to save the cheerleader, it should be easier for Sylar to find them and do what he does with them.
So, when Hiro came back from the future to talk to Peter in the subway car, was the scar he refered to on his head? I think it was but I don't recall clearly. Considering how Sylar attacks his vicims, would you think a head scar was from a close encounter with the man?
It seems to me that Sylar is building his strength from his victims.
I tend to think that Sylar is going after the "low hanging fruit". People that are just realizing thier powers would seem to be easier targets.
He went after the little girl but he didn't attack the mind reading cop. It also could just be 'concidence' that Hiro and Ando were at the diner when he killed Charlie. It doesn't mean he is following them or is even aware of them.
In any event the next two weeks it looks like we will learn alot about Sylar. I have heard that after the homecoming episode (save the cheerleader) there is an episode that goes back in time 6 mo. and among other things we see Mohinder's dad come to NY and meet Sylar for the first time.

Then that brings into question why he kills Isaac in a week.
Sylar isn't the one who had the run in with the mind reading cop. It was Claire's dad and the Haitian guy.
This last episode also explains why Claire's dad didn't kill the cop. He's a good guy afterall?
I think Hiro saw a potential future. By acting on what he saw he would be changing it.
and claire's dad is a "good" guy
That has nothing to do with it. In that reality, Sylar kills Isaac. If he is only going after the "nonconsequential" people, why does he end up killing Isaac, who granted isn't a very major character, but his ability make him one of the most important.
I thought it was a great episode. (Just got around to watching it.) My DVR cut off at the end when Hiro's buddy is sitting at the table waiting for him. Was there anything else after that?
If you missed it, they showed Hiro's buddy standing next to a large cork board full of pics of various customers & stuff from the restaurant. There was a picture of Hiro with the waitress, sort of implying that he went back further than he had intended to. The friend did not see the pic yet.
I want to know why Claire and Mohinder's dad's neighbor weren't supposed to see each other. Was there something I missed in an earlier episode or has this not been explained yet. I was wondering the same thing. I can't remember anything....
I'm not sure how I feel about Claire's dad. I think he might be one of the good guys.
I love these shows that keep you guessing, even though they are frustrating, lol!
Thanks for that, Linda! I gotta be better at programming my stupid DVR.

I just think, as others do, that Sylar seems very selective about his targets and I am looking for reasons why. Maybe Sylar only knows about some of the 'heroes' he may not even realize Hiro or Parkman have abilities.
i think you can watch the episodes on nbc too? i think?
That's certainly a possibility, but you have to wonder about his powers of deduction if he can identify someone with an abnormal memory (and that person only aware of that power for a couple weeks) and not identify someone that can stop and move around in time. Seems a little off to me.
NBC/DVR clock is off here. I have learned to set mine for +3 min.
That way I can be sure to see the flashes from next week.
Yup. Go to nbc.com and select Heros. You can watch the current week's episode online for free. Couple of ads, but not bad at all. Good performance and quality.
They post Tuesday mornings and only have the last episode.
