So long. I'd say don't let the door hit you on the way out, but then we'll push the door so hard, you won't be able to avoid it.

Buh bye.

????? Frustration ??????

We may not have won a lot of games. But we do have a football team here, unlike the Coach Mac era of being blown out 42-3 by the Cleveland Browns.

The games are entertaining, and yes at times infuriating, but still at least we get a football game unlike in days past when we were habitually down 21 points a half.

Chin up man. It ain't that bad. I have thought those crazy thoughts before. We all have. Yet, we are "doomed" to the Cardinals

I mean who are you gonna watch? The Chargers ? HA! ZZZzzzzzz........ Plus who says they are going to win anything this year. No one can play Marty ball like Marty himself. That is a Marty ball team, and now they are going to be a "high powered" offense. Phillip Rivers better learn how to throw more aggressively.

Trust me. The Cardinals are a four star show, just they can't seem to win.

Finally a decent response. I want to be a fan but 20 years is a long time and to waist every football Sunday of my 20's & 30's on a team for the most part has not even been competitive let alone win. Like I said I want to see a winner early this season. Maybe Whiz can do that. I am born and raised in AZ and the fact that the Cards are cast offs from St Louis does not make them feel like a true home team. And I am sorry if you think that the Chargers are not an entertaining team to watch. Based on their National games shown this year let alone how many times they have been on even in the preseason proves otherwise. Hell even the Cards local TV and a number of regular season games are not even in HD. That’s how important the Cards are to most. Besides its not like I am a closet Dallas fan or something..

Thats what I was thinking. He posts "he is prepared to be bashed" then gets pissed when he is.
If you really dont want anything to do with this team, Log out of ASFN, Log onto the Chargers website. Put your Cards jerseys and Cards gear on Ebay and quit your crying and move on with your life. Believe me you wont be missed.

When did I say I was pissed? I am amused however from the expected response of the blind following the blind. I will also have a chuckle after about week 6 or 7 when half of you wont have a good thing to say about the team yourselves. :) I can almost read it now, Warner needs to start, Edge is done, Clancy needs to be fired, who are we taking with the 1st pick?

What?
When have the Cardinals ever stopped sucking? You all are so blind to the Cardinals BS machine that you want to blame recent failures on Jake Plummer when he is the only QB to lead this team to a playoff victory. Yet even after he left the Cards got WORSE, yep must of been Jake's fault. ;)

Uh oh, I think I see what's going on here.

JDI,

I feel your pain. Let it be known we've all lived thru the same agony as you have. We are here to help.
Get yourself a big, tall glass of some Cardinal Kool-Aid, get into your favorite chair and watch the Cards offense go to work.

We are on the verge of becoming a winning team. Wouldn't it be a shame if you baled now and we go on to win the division. You'd come crawling back but the guilt you'd feel would be overwelming.

If you must go, I 'm afraid to say you won't be missed. Good Luck with your new winning team.

What i don't get is why did you feel the need to post this here? Why would any of us care that you want to quit?

exactly. what were you hoping to accomplish? are you trying the Jerry Maguire thing with you saying "who's coming with me"? Not gonna happen.

Is this what you did with the Chargers?

someone should save this for when the Cards finally win the superbowl and post it then.

Quit already then...

If you can't see the oline getting better then what do I care whether you remain a fan or not. Are you one of the guys at training camp asking where Michael Boldin's line was? Or are you the guy who said "Anquan Baldwin..Boldin...Whatever..."

Fans like those need shipped out. The only thing that's more of a perennial loser than the Cards are fans with takes like these.

A guy at work asked me one time why I wasnt a fan of the Colts, Rams or Titans since I live in Western Kentucky. At the time they all had winning records. I looked him straight in the eye and said CUZ IT WONT BE AS MUCH FUN AS SEEING MY CARDINALS. I will be watching drunk as a skunk with a tear in my eye when I see Mr. Bidwill holding up the NFC championship trophy in one hand and an ice cream cone in the other

This post just made my day thank you I think it was the visual of the NFC trophy and the ice cream cone that did it for me

Thanks for the kind words, however it seems like no one has read my original post. All I am asking is for them to have a winning record after 5 games. Not be 5-0. But as I suspected all I get is the Rah, Rah… I’m a big Cards fan and I support this team through thick, thin, thinner and thinnest so that makes me better than you. Besides it’s not like San Diego is a bad thing and I plan on living my summers there in the near future when I am in the position to do so. Besides I have always had a spot in my heart for the Chargers because when I was young and influential it was the Chargers on NBC or the Cowboys on CBS in these parts and I chose the Bolts. However I would like nothing more than to see the local team win cuz I believe this is a football town and would be nice to have some excitement cuz the new stadium buzz has already worn off. I just needed to vent my frustration after another pathetic performance on Sat afternoon and although its 110 degrees outside it seemed like there was better things to do. Even though it was a preseason game the 1st units on both sides looked like crap and now our 1st rd pick of a couple of years ago and the 8th overall is going to be a special teamer.

I can’t take this underperforming team much longer. And although its preseason I do not see things changing this season. This team and ownership has taken all the joy I had for the NFL as a kid and turned it into apathy. I have come to the realization that I don’t really care and actually look forward to the ribbing and smack that comes after another demoralizing loss. This team has some offensive weapons and I will stay a huge Anquan fan however the O-line and the Defense looks porous at best. The defense has 1 decent lineman (Dockett) 1 decent LB (Dansby) and one elite DB (Wilson). If this team is not at least 3-2 after 5 games I will fully change my allegiances back to the Chargers as it was prior to 1988 when I actually loved the NFL and watching games on Sunday. I am thankful that I spent my money on ASU season tickets this season.

You should always spend your money on ASU tickets!

If the O-line just stood up on the snap of the ball it would be an improvement over last year. However the improvement you see is from some homer telling you that or you listen to the cuts of Dockett about how impressed he is with the o-line stepping it up.... hmmmm maybe its not the o-line as much as the d-line not being any good in practice as I saw no pressure from the 1st unit on saturday.

I can't even imagine how moving that will be...even if Mr, Bidwill spills ice cream on his bowtie

There are these things on my face called eyes. Those things watched the oline, specifically. I came away impressed. Very few breakdowns. Albeit against a Houston defense, but they are improving dramatically and are lightyears from what we had last season. I saw multiple holes big enough to push a truck through in the running game and nice pass protection.

Now, if you want to bash the DL and the defense in general, I'm all ears. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as they aren't stunting or blitzing at the moment, but I'm very concerned about the defense. Until this preseason, I was very concerned about the OL but from my personal observations both at two practices and two preseason games, the OL is no longer the weak link on the team, IMO.

Keep in mind, that there is a right way and wrong way to criticize the team. The culture of this board is averse to the pat arguments you hear from the average "fan." Complain that the Cards will always suck as long as the "Bidwells" own the team, and you'll get flamed. Complain about the D not being able to keep outside contain and you'll get kudos.

Is everything
Maybe.

I'm of the opinion that a real fan can't just turn of being a fan of their team. It becomes engrained in your DNA.

Yep. This team has made us all want to jump off the proverbial bridge at some point. Anyone remember Rugby Muffin's complete meltdown not long ago? that was classic.

Let's all have a beer...
