Im Sorry, But Lance Long Sucks

Me either. And Long's production as a return guy in college was less than pedestrian.

Really he is a special teams contributor and nothing else. That is why he made it over the other guys.

I figured that the "GF" stood for "girl friend".

But my take is that Gee wasn't as upset with Long making the team, as much as he was that he made the team over some defensive player who we might have needed more. Defensive depth verses carrying a 7th wide receiver makes a lot of sense to me also.

So while it's a little strong to say he "sucks", I can certainly understand his sentiment.

I feel sorry for Long.He is no Ricky Prohel and needed to be the last guy on an awesome wide recieveing corp.We can do much better.Even if he does know the routes.He just is'nt consistant enough to count on for me.

I don't think he fights for the ball or defends a bad pass either.He is definately not kick returner material on this talented squad.I have no clue why he has'nt been cut yet.None what so ever.He must have pictures of someone high up.Sorry.

All this being said I'd rather have Lance Long than Brian St.Pierre and his 22.2 QB rating and $800,000 salary.

Wow 2 catches for 21 total yards in the last 2 preseason games. Put this guy on the pro bowl ballot.

I think there are far too many that are far too focused on banning people.

It's somewhat ironic that the guy who's defending Whis' choice is the one who's being offered up for banning and no one even blinks about the guy who says Long sucks and is only on the team because he's white.

I think Long is on the team to groom him to take over Morey's role next year. While that may not help much this year,Whiz is probably looking down the road a bit. It's just like Campbell was groomed to replace Smith and Rashad Johnson is being groomed to take Rolle's spot next year. Morey has had zero impact as a receiver and, likely, Long won't either. BUt if he shows he's capable of replacing Morey then that will save the Cards money and reduce the need to look for a replacement. I'm sure if they thought they could stash him on the PS that they would have but KC was probably all over him.
