Is there a reason why we don't fire Kliff today?

Hard to disagree with this comment

Nick Bosa & Quinnen Williams would’ve went a similar path Chandler Jones did.

Racking up stats, doing his part, but ultimately doing so in multiple losing seasons. Only to end up in another season after his rookie contract.

Imagine being drafted #1, demanding a top QB contract without winning a playoff game, and showing up late for practices.

Sounds like a smart kid. Imagine going into a contract year without any guarantees, playing for this coach, with your only decent wideout suspended. Kyler's fate was sealed when he was drafted to this incompetent organization where nobody can succeed. I don't blame him for getting his money.

TJ, God bless him, is sometimes just for the lolz for this difficult time. He wanted Minshew.

And I dont think we would have been bad enough to get Burrow, Tua or Herbert unfortunately.

Kyler does look like a genius in this instance. At least compared to Lamar.

He knew a disaster was coming, once he saw Keim/Kliff get deals, he wanted a bag security for himself. Now this doesnt say much for him having a winner's mentality/ guys you want to have in a dogfight. However, it was certainly shrewd.

Speaking of which I really do think we would be looking at trading Kyler to the Jets if he didnt have a deal. They could just play Mike White until he's healthy.

So Kyler demanded big contract because he saw a Keim/Kingsbury regime? Wouldn’t he had been better off demanding a trade? OR was it as long as he got paid life would be good. Piss on winning?

I think that complaining about not having resources and support looks bad. Freezing Kugler out looks bad. Having former players say that he is mismanaging the locker room and making it hard for leaders to step forward looks bad.

The quote about him not being able to be his best makes him look unserious, which I think is the perception of him around the league.

A reminder that none of the quotes are his quotes.

And nobody looks good in that article but Kliff looks the least bad.

Oh I been known TJ’s history of shock-value posting lol

Yup, & if we did, we would’ve chosen Tua over Herbert & Bidwill/Keim would’ve chosen Hackett over Mike McDaniel.

So he’s the Moe of the three stooges? Surprisingly, the person who comes out the best is Keim, who’s barely mentioned.

We hate Keim, but in this he’s just a guy who’s been locked out of the building.

Circular firing squad between Michael, Kliff and Murray is hilarious.

No Im saying he probably figured this year was ****ed and didnt want to be scapegoated.

Kliff and Kyler have the same agent. So he's playing both sides and trying to help all sides at the same time. They knew this roster was going to have some issues. He wanted his client to secure his contract before his value tanks. And he wouldnt want Kliff without a QB either.

Year just turned out worse than they thought. However, all the writings were on the wall for a letdown year.

If you squint your eyes at Kliff, you might be able to see giving him another year.

But does anyone really think he's ever going to coach this team to a championship? With his play-calling and game management and all the penalties? Even you @BritCard? If not, then what's the point?

Nope. I've said Kliff should go. Just not now.

In my opinion if he goes now we likely end up with someone worse. In which case might as well let him hold the bag for next year while seeing if things improve with a new GM.

I dunno man. The one Keim comment is basically a blanket "He's not doing his job".

It's possible keeping K2 another year is the least bad option. I think @SoonerLou agrees with you too.

I wonder what the players would say about it (privately, not with the cameras rolling).

I'm more and more convinced Kyler is going to out of the league by 28 with the reputation of being a sulky version of Aaron Rodgers without the ability for people to put up with it. .
That will never be the comparison. Jay Cutler will be his comp if he goes that way.

I am the first one on this board that called it, months ago. Sadly, it makes perfect sense, given his attitude and the way things are going. It's not fun anymore, no one's calling him great, and he can't just "see the field" and win all the time any longer. He got paid, he's set for life, and his heart isn't in it. He retires the minute he can without giving back money.

At best, he goes for one more contract on another team because he's convinced he's the bees knees and he'll be a rock star in a better place. He's not, he won't, and that will be that.

Kyler is a genius in this instance. He never earned a mega deal, got one earlier than almost any other QB in the history of the league, has reverted into a crap QB, and there's not a damn thing the team can do about it. He'll survive the GM and the HC by years, because the team has no choice. He absolutely played it well by playing the team. Can't blame the kid for huckstering this awful franchise.

Sources say Kyler is the Stout of the Cardinals facility. Always cranky, always thinks the team sucks.

I think you two would get along. :)

Naw he's going to leave the Cardinals, figure things out, and then everyone is just going to say he sucked when he was with the Cardinals because the Cardinals suck.

Warner and Palmer seemed to do alright.

I think Keim's fate/firing was sealed when he caved into Murray's demands when he didn't have to. It's obvious Bidwill didn't want to invest that money without an out(the study clause). Once that became a public embarrassment then Keim removed it and Murray's play regressed, Keim was on his way out.

That's how I think it goes. The Cards trade him post 2025 to someone that thinks they can fix him and he's Carson Wentz for a few years before quitting.

His parting words to the NFL are "I never got the elite O line I deserve".

He could turn it around but this is the path he is on unless he changes himself.
