The irrational Kyler boosters aren’t going to like this, but this is sub-Cousins performance. Kirk failed to surpass 4000 yards in a season where he started at least 15 games one time in the past nine seasons.
I will take your irrational anti-Kyler and raise you with a three-game win streak.

The fact that Kyler is 23rd in the NFL in pass yards per game at 199.1 AND that this team has figured out a way to win games despite that, are both truths. And that is ok. It has been long discussed on this board how the Cardinals needed to build a roster that could win games without requiring Kyler to be amazing. We are kinda in that place. There will be times where the team needs Kyler to save the day, and we will see if he can do it when that time comes. (EDIT: like he did in the Miami game)

I mean, he just did it vs Miami, but I hear you.

yes, kinda

Cousins doesnt get you 600 yards rushing
But he does get you 4500 yards passing and the same TD production.

Their stats all in pretty much equate to the equal production in total yards and TDs.

Irony being Kirk Cousins non 4000 yard season/lowest YPG is when Kevin Stefanski was his OC and Drew Petzing was the main WRs coach.

Highest passer rating TBF though.

Y'all probably thinking of current Derek Carr and not same age as Kyler Derek Carr. He's not far wrong. Several sub 4000 yard seasons, low to mid 20 TD seasons (except Carr had a 32 in his 2nd year), similar YPA, similar INT ratios. Similar yards per game. And 3 Pro Bowls by 26.

I don't think Kyler missed seeing Trey here as the coverage said. He's waving his arms around and Kyler looks at him twice.

Think it's just a bad throw. Kyler tries to loft it into the back of the EZ and just over cooks it.

He did, the problem is we also needed it against the Bills, Lions, Commanders and Packers where he averaged 181 yards per game. Can't just memory hole the bad ones and remember the good ones.

There are two parts to this: throw and catch, and the latter would have made a difference against both the Bills and Lions.

im not a Kyler hater, but that is just a confounding miss

Kyler is typically pretty good on throwing to the first read when its there

and right off the snap, its there. Hit the back foot ( 03 sec mark in the vid) and throw it to the outside and its a TD. The rush would never come into play.
