A couple points on this.

Kyler being mid doesn't prevent Daniels from being a better QB.

Daniels being able to be successful despite a mid roster doesn't mean Kyler can't be more successful than he currently is with a better roster around him.

Those are both mutually exclusive things.

Now, if people are saying Kyler is better than Daniels, ok, you would have a point. I don't see other posters, other than maybe 6024, saying that Kyler is better than Daniels.

That's not my point at all.

My point is that we don't need a better roster to be a successful team (See Commanders) we just need a better QB.

We could spend a hundred million in cap space trying to build a roster good enough to offset how bad Kyler can be when it gets to the crunch, or we could just accept he's bad and move on.

The second option seems cheaper and easier.

Did you honestly think this was your “gotcha” moment? Darnold’s season this year was better than any season Kyler has ever had in his career, and Darnold still outplayed him during their matchup.

So no, this isn’t your moment to gloat. Kyler was still outplayed by a journeyman QB

LOL

Talk about not watching games.

Darnold has the best offensive personnel in football of course he’s going to have a good season.

Like I said when everyone was touting him don’t believe the hype.

Swap Darnold for K1 and the K1 would be a possible MVP.

Darnold might not even get a contract with Minny.

LOL

You do realize that it wasn't a boxing match, right?

Kyler generated 406 yards in offence against the Vikes 'D,' and Darnold 273 against the Cards.

2024 Darnold: 36 total TDs
2020 Kyler: 37 total TDs

Is anyone prepared to argue that the 2020 CARDS offence was more talented than the 2024 Vikes?

again - we're talking about supporting casts instead of what we saw - complete shrinkage - by both qbs when it mattered - neither can handle the moment - or the blitzes that separate the greats and the fakes

both qbs had everything they needed to lead their respective divisions this year - i don't care about 2020 - both qbs choked this year - with their desirability going to complete dog ish

what i saw was the rams - who leveraged everything they had to get their qb even though the qb they already had was better than both darnold and kyler murray

and that's why they're in the playoffs

People often say how Kyler never had a vet coach. This guy made Jordon Love and made Malik Willis look good, but quit Kyler after his rookie year. Why?

These guys still want a big armed pocket passer even though that guy is dead in the NFL.
No, they aren't. They are just usually mobile as well. Josh Allen is a big armed pocket passer when he wants/needs to be. Same with Mahommey, etc. You still have to be able to play well within the pocket to be a truly good or even great NFL QB. The mobility is a maximizer. I think it would be safe to say that, unless you're a JB, you can't JUST be a big armed pocket passer.

That wasn't the narrative though prior to this game.

Multiple posters were saying that Darnold was better than what we have with K1. That is not close to being the case.

No K1 didn't have even close to needing everything this year. Lets stop trying to rewrite history.

Darnold for sure had everything to have to the type of season he did. In the end though Darnold is still a guy that is a stiff and holds the ball too long.

No he is not.

Allen is Cam Newton that is more accurate.

Coming out firing won’t matter. We will enjoy that, but we’ll all be waiting for kyler to crumble the second half of the season. That’s what we will all be waiting for.
I’m going to have trouble caring about the Cardinals until I see them consistently win in November and December. It’s been so long since this team has actually been competitive down the stretch.

Whoa… did I miss the massive change this year in the NFL where yards determined the game’s outcome over points?

I'm not sure this is really true. I think it's a narrative around the league but there are plenty of QB's that barely run, and only do so as a last resort. Jordan Love, CJ Stroud, Tua, Dak barely runs anymore, Lawrence, Stafford, Goff, Burrow.

Burrow has 42 recorded attempts this year. Tom Brady averaged 33.

Big Ben had 5100 yards in 2018 and I don't think the league has changed that much.

Do i need to bring out more Darnold fan posts from just last month?

There are tons.

I just picked a few without much effort.

Imagine thinking one bad game means anything. His first ever playoff game too.

Your boy has one of the worst playoff performances of all time in his only appearance.

Darnold has had 6 years of bad play across multiple teams.

Dear lord
