Meh the sack rate is BS, the amount of sacks kyler avoids bc of his athleticism brings that down drastically (yes he will take a long bonehead one here and there but has even got better on that). Our line is great at rush blocking (one of best in the league) and very much sub par at pass protection.

To compound on that we’ve literally never had a good interior line in his tenure. Even Fro is just OK at pass block, phenomenal at rush blocking. Always had a RT issue.. and I personally wasn’t a Hump guy at LT. Mediocre at best. Paris is a massive upgrade and will be a top 10 LT for the next decade.

I thought the o-line, particularly given the injuries, was good last year -- but it also was uneven. Certain games (SEA 1 and 2) they got it taken to them.

I also think pass blocking is made marginally easier when one of the strategies of the rush is to keep Kyler contained

$36.8 million of his 2026 salary becomes guaranteed on 3/17.

Super duper glad K1 all but guaranteed to be your QB1 for the 2026 season K9 (just in case we need one more year to build the offense around him).

If 2025 doesn't go that great, 2026 will be a make-or-break year for the hard-working, nice-to-waiters-and-other-customer-service persons, Kyler Murray.

Good one! If 2025 doesn't go well, he gone, regardless of the cap hit.

Haha, was joking with everyone a little. :)

Let's hope, for all our sakes, that in 2025 K1 plays at a level that has me pounding the table for a Murray contract extension, while you rage/plead/cajole the Cardinals "not to repeat their mistake" following the 2021 season.

I can’t tell if this is knowing satire anymore.

Most of us were enraged when Kyler got his extension. He was coming off a terrible playoff game which was still fresh in all our minds. Not to mention his apparent pouting.
Then many of us were just as miffed when Kiem and Kingsbury were extended which spurred Murray on to demand a new contract.

I couldn't believe we signed that extension so early, when many here were saying we had to. There was zero need to do it a year early and a lot of team control had he exploded into the player we wanted and needed. Just dumb all around, that extension. Kliffy and Keim were the turd icing on the ish cake.

Kliff has done OK with a real NFL QB.

I wonder if the pairing would have gone any better if Vance was the Head Coach and Kliff was just the OC? Both guys are doing fantastic as coordinators now, and Vance looks better in retrospect now that we know how terrible Simmons is. Kliff not holding players accountable was a major problem, and I doubt Vance would have had that issue. Not to mention Kliff just could not handle the stress at the time.

I know his Broncos tenure wasnt a success, but 6-10 with Case Keenum at QB isn't really a terrible performance.

As an OC. He's no HC.
And he learned from playcalling here as well.. it isn’t the same offense. He realizes you can’t be the 1990s running rebels and out-condition a defense.. nfl defenses are smart and realize your running the same routes over and over again - hence why several defensive players would press in coverage against us in his era - easy to do so when you know 1-3 routes are being ran on the exact same position of the field. Also don’t see bubble screens galore in WAS. Kudos to Kliffy for adapting
